I just bought my first Megabass.......

Be careful, my dad just bought his first Megabass Vision 110 this week. Caught a trout on his 5th cast with it, then this happened when he tried to grab it.

That hurts to look at.  How did he end up getting it out?

Went to dsg "just to look". Decided to find zman plastics while I was there. I didn't find any but I ended up getting a zman chatterbait (white/chart). I fished it for a bit. I love zman plastic. The one that comes with it is awesome. And the chatterbait.. Er mah Gerd! I get it now.lol. What's the ideal conditions for white/chart. Chatterbait?

He went to urgent care. They numbed it, pushed it through, clipped it, then backed it out. Proud son moment, my dad's biggest concern was that they didn't get any of the alcohol on his bait (which he didn't just remove for some reason), because he didn't want them to ruin the finish  :laugh5:  Most expensive bait my dad has ever bought before that 110 is an Xrap, so it was a big deal for him.

That looks painful. How is your pops doing Blue?

He's good, said he couldn't even tell where it was at this morning.

His birthday was last week. I took him fishing but I might have to get him some fish grippers for a late present. He has a net but I understand not wanting to untangle 3 trebles out of net.

That was the first text I opened when I woke up in the evening, heck of a wake up call!

Under the nail. That's nasty.

It's hard to tell in the picture but it's actually right along the edge and angling towards the side of his finger. Glad he did the smart thing and went to the doctor instead of trying to rip it out.

They are one of my favorite follow-up baits I have found for when I'm froggin'.  If something misses the frog while I'm working it through cover I'll have the jawbreaker ready to go and it is almost like a finesse punching rig or something- lets you get right in there, and flutters down once it's through rather than sinking like a punch rig.  They get slammed!  I might even match the jawbreaker to the frog I'm using.  Maybe  :Victory:   Almost never gets hung up either- works great on it's own around big laydowns, lumber and such.  Great bait!

My mini loot came in. An order of swims from the Flee market, 2 custom made chatters by a great forum member, and lastly 2 new chatters from TW (A Z-Man project chatter and a D&M in baby bass)

Oh and my new PFD

I can not wait until the season opens to try out all my new toys.

Got a pretty sweet deal on a bunch of plastics from a local dude who was doing some spring cleaning. $50 for everything, and all the stuff in ziplocks are full packages never used, he just chose to put a lot of them in ziplocks.

Anyone know any JDM sites that have Jackall spinnerbaits and blade baits? Specifically Super Eruption and Break Blades?

Finally got around to ordering a few baits I have been wanting to try out.

I'm real excited about the Siebert jigs and punch rigs. There are 14 of them in those 6 bags. And the D-bombs are for the punch rigs when  head to Reelfoot lake next month.

Its like x-mas in April!!

Wrapped up *what I hope to be* my last big order from TW before the season starts.  Got a bunch of plastics and a boatload of terminal tackle.  With a few more fleabay purchases making their way across the Pacific, I will be ready to attack in no time!

Also shook hands on my new project boat- picked up a 12' semi-v and trailer from my brother that's in awesome shape.  Hoping to get it over to the sandblaster's next week sometime to begin the overhaul as she's been a lawn ornament for some time.  After she's blasted clean I'll be repainting it gray with some ultra-heavy-duty machine epoxy and adding a light carpeted floor.  Can't wait to get to work!
