@TnRiver46 if I ever post a pic of an older level wind such as that, you can be rest assured birds will be flocking to IN shortly thereafter, seeking the newly formed birds nest heard throughout the Midwest. 🤣

@MN Fisher you have the right concept, unfortunately I was leaning more towards an osprey, eagle or even ostrich.

Happy Birthday to me (on friday)

My fishing buddy says he has some Panoramas he got me as a present and I am simply not worthy

@TnRiver46 just from me watching that vid, there’s probably a few loops already forming. 🤣

In all honesty, my experience with the old reels was quite limited but typically ended on a bad note. This was when I was like 9-10. Dad gave me an old Abu of his & bought me a pistol grip Pro Comp II rod from BPS. He soon saw he’d made a mistake once I’d gone through a spool of line in a couple of months. Used spinning rods most of my life. Never had a real need for a baitcaster until I changed how & which lures I fished. By then, 15-20 years ago, low profile reels were around & any remaining round reels had the magnetic braking added. Learned on those & never really tried the older round reels again. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, ya know?

However, if you want to potentially go through a few hundred yards of line, let me know. I’m 4-6 hours away & not too proud to demonstrate my angling deficiencies. Might end up making that outfit your new spinnerbug setup. 🤣

@RipzLipz, I actually had a spinnerbait in my

jacket pocket to see how it would throw on there but I didn’t end up tying it on. Threw a fluke and jerkbait just to see how she would toss them while waiting on a my catfish bait to get bit. Then I started throwing my ultra light spinning and got a bluegill rock bass and Kentucky bass, lots of side tracking going on. Walking back to the car I was like what is in my jacket, oh yeah willow leaf spinnerbait 😂

@TnRiver46 Just need to go out with only that nemesis of yours tied on & you will eventually get a slob. My 2 largest this year both came on one & I'm usually not throwing SB.

Gotta run, someone keeps calling me on the phone & can’t take a hint.

Scored a couple Daiwa Lexa 400 HD's at a heck of a price. They're $329 pretty much everywhere, and I didn't see any on sale Black Friday. Found them for $235 on the jungle site the other day, and after applying my card points to the purchase, I got two delivered to my door for $403. WOO HOO!!!

Got 'em spooled up with 80# X9. Hopefully we'll get to tangle with some big slimers on Friday. My oldest granddaughter is coming along. It'll be her first muskie trip.

Just added two 'new colors' to the quill.

Looking super sweet too.

I am such a sucker for that 'natural / semi clear look'.

And at this point, I'm pretty sure Megabass knows it too.

I fought the monkey hard today, I almost came away with two 110s myself. Now I'm second guessing my compromise with that little bait monster

I knew you’d see it! I give you a hard time because if I see your name on the user list, it’s usually in the tackle area or sale thread - but I am on here more than usual lately. Just something I noticed & got a chuckle out of.  Anyway, the damage was:

4 Picasso Bait Ball A-rigs

6 Picasso lures take on Snagless Sallys (3/8 & 1/2 & 3/4oz)

2 5 packs of Picasso Smartmouth Mustad 4/0 swimbait jig heads (for A-rigs)

2 packs ea Keitech Fat Swing Impact (Ayu 4.3 & 4.8)

2 Booyah Blade Spinnerbaits (single CO 1/2oz cart/white) - gifts for dad, he won’t ever buy what I use

1 Booyah Moontalker Spinnerbait (single CO 3/4oz) - gift for dad

2 Huk t-shirts

Not the best bargain as some of the stuff wasn’t on sale but needed for restock. Got dad’s military discount though. I have another honey hole shop I use for most orders - no sales tax with them but they don’t have the inventory count that other places do so I keep that one quiet.🤫

Time go down the rabbit hole. I've spent enough time on other people's scopes.
