Playing catch up on this thread. I’m pretty sure the wife has either killed or captured the Baitmonkey here. Doesn’t help I was going through my ‘stuff’ and I found a box from Karl’s I had forgotten about, 5 RES, a couple Stunnas, a couple Frits sides, and a Fuego. Oops!

A few more wood plugs to show from Japan - this group is smaller, 2-3 inches, and 3/16 to 3/8 oz.

On top, Zeal Plank prop-tail and Zeal Light Risk lip-crank

SPrbJBM.jpg

Two dog-walkers, Zeal terror 35 and Bass Pond Keel Chico.

This is the Keel Chico again, which I photographed next to another finesse plug I really like, the flap-tail Chico Frog.

If you're wondering how I find these on Yahoo.

I will go to a site like Oh! Chuck or Sawa, find something that interests me, toggle back and forth between English and Japanese on google translate.
Copy the Japanese ideograms, and search that on Yahoo - if you try searching English words on Yahoo, you get a lot of goop in return.  Buying also requires a broker, such as noppin.com, ZenMarket, or Rinkya.

These sleeper craws look pretty great in underwater footage. Hoping they deliver.

I went on a squarebill binge tonight at TW, I bought 4 Riot Reactor 1.5's because they looked really interesting and had some good reviews. I also bought an Ima Square Bill and a few 13 Fishing Scamps.

I guess the good news is that I didn't order enough to get the free t-shirt?

@Koz

I like Ima lures enough, they have a sticker on my kayak cooler.

Matsuya, btw, has a brick store, and is a big-time Yahoo.JP seller.

The best part of ordering fishing stuff online is forgetting about the fact that I ordered anything at all, then the box shows up, and it's like a surprise gift from past me.

I love it when this happens. I don't track packages so that they will be sort of a surprise. I think I might be going insane

We're just hobbyist online shoppers with fishing problems.

Never realized some buzzbaits or many of them will run one particular way or the other.   The one I last posted above has been hammering them with a 5.5" Spunk Shad trailer, but it runs crazy to the left.   If you plan accordingly, it's deadly effective and cool running it under docks and stuff.

Anyways went into my monkey store and ask for one that runs straight as I can't always run the perfect direction.   I'll give these a try.

Loved my first Spro Little Jon 50 in crawfish color that I bought one is Homemade Shad.   I think this one will get bit more.     Missile Baits is slowly replacing Roboworm as my favorite soft plastic maker, they are the first company that has colors that impress me as much or more than Roboworm.   Roboworm seems to have dialed it back from back in the day when they had the FX series stuff.

Do yourself a favor and get one of these in all black.  You'll thank me later.  Especially on those warm spring/summer days.

Thanks, I actually wanted to get one of those yesterday but they didn't have any.  Gonna have to order some.    Just don't wanna wait weeks from TW because I'm cheap and pick the free shipping option ?

Add in some pauses as well and it'll get crushed. Burn burn burn, pause is killer.

I doubled up on spinning rods.

This is the exact same as my other spinning setup, with one caveat. The reel is a 6 speed instead of 5 speed on my other.

St Croix Triumph 6'6" medium fast with a Shimano Sedona 2500HG

20lb braid to 10lb mono

I really liked my first spinning setup and have found myself using techniques that I prefer with spinning more than in the past, so I doubled up.

I also have a Lew's KVD Composite Cranking Rod 7'4" MH being shipped now from Midway USA

I grabbed a few more things, I finally bought some suspending lipless crank baits after a couple years. I got a different pack of max scent tubes because I liked the color watermelon vapor, looks good to me. Some owner phantom tube hooks and a rapala rocco in green gizzard shad. I figured that’s a decent color since they only had one left.

Yeah for $8 or $9 each they were hard to pass up. I only bought enough of the Yamas to get free shipping but they kept adding free bags so I ended up getting more than I intended. I’ve been wanting a Bantam for awhile to compare to my Daiwas and they finally got some 8:1’s in stock so I jumped on it.

I haven't ordered any jackhammers from overseas, but someone posted recently that said JDM sites wouldn't ship Zman to the U.S.  Maybe it was just one site.

JLS won't but Digitaka got some in recently and did. I was kind of surprised about it too. They are a few dollars more than JLS but still cheaper than buying them here. They had a nice selection too

Edit...They don't even have Evergreen listed as a brand they carry anymore so maybe they got in trouble for it. They had a full run of Evergreen baits last week
