I had to buy something to haul my fishing gear and kayak with. It still counts right?

image_zpsz9jbdzdl.jpg

My gf has the same car and I love that thing.  Runs great, rides smooth, is awesome in the snow and gets killer mileage.  It's our go-to ski gear + dog + kids road trip car in the winter with a huge roof box, and then the roof box gets switched out for double yak racks in the summer.  Great car!  Just do yourself a favor now and get the anti-rust coating underneath and especially in the wheel wells-  Those cars ALWAYS rust out from the wheel wells first.

Love the Outbacks though.  One of the best all-around cars ever made IMO.  It just does it all in spades and you can even sleep in the back in a pinch- now if only I could afford an RS6 Avant

The Sick Fish work. The clearer colors have more movement than some of the darker more detailed colors. I think the paint makes for a stiffer bait.

Also by far the smelliest and greasiest bait I've ever *attempted* to handle.  I don't know who decided that packing them in trash juice scented love lube would make them better but I disagree with them.

Not exactly a recent purchase, but doing some cleanup in a storage room, I

came across these. I bought these back in the 80's.

MudBugs don't work.

Actually John, those are bombers. Here is a Mudbug.

But I have to agree about the "don't work". I never , not once caught

anything on them. Guess that's why they were in my storage room...lol.

They are no longer made, but the bomber was made by Bomber lure company. The Mudbug was made by Arbogast, the company that makes the Jitterbug and the hula popper.

Ordered a Jackall Gantarel in RT spawn gill. Excited for this one to arrive. Spring is near. I'll handle losing it a lot better than a hardgill too.

Been looking at those Gantarels for a few weeks but am telling the bait monkey to **** off cause I fish almost strictly for smallmouth and it'll cost me 50$ each. I still want a few tho... I guess Pike would destroy them too. Picked up some smallerish finesse jerkbaits for cold water smallies.

Jackall DowZvido and Spro McStick plus a couple more Sick Fish.

My mistake Hootie. MudBugs belong in the box, not in storage. Sell those for MudBugs. ;)

MudBugs don't work.

I caught many river smallmouth with a mudbug. Something about the vibration that muddy river bass love. Even hooked into a musky with one, of course I never got that mudbug back.

Wow! Bored at work so I totaled up everything I've purchases at Tackle Warehouse since last April.  This does not include my purchases elsewhere which are many. I feel like there is still so many more baits I could easily buy. Sitting at $5953.44 for just under a year of purchases.  I sure do wish Tackle Warehouse had a membership like REI so I could get something back for the thousands of dollars I have spent.  I'll opt out of showing this post to my wife who does support the addiction/passion but the numbers might be a little shocking to her.  I wonder who else out there is dropping huge amounts of money on gear. I will say though I did have a 15 year hiatus and am getting everything back together.  Whatever it takes I guess.  Hopefully soon I'll have enough to direct some of that cash to a boat payment.

You know a guy is ready to gun down KVD on the water when he's got his house, boat and truck all wrapped in TW stickers.

ha yeah I'm gonna post some pics later of the uptons stuff I got in the mail yesterday.  One of the better purchases I've made. I gotta learn to save....

And what the heck I definitely didn't get that many stickers from tackle warehouse or i just never looked for them in the box.

Uptons are the best worms ever. Their colors are amazing. One peek at a bag of Hershey blue stripe or diamond craw dragon tails and there is no going back. They're bullying roboworms right out of my plastics tray.

Someone brought a wooden hoop snare drum home, and stopped by Field and Stream store for a few more Pop-Max colors.

Made a trip to Bass Pro today, only needing to get some essentials for this season.  Ended up walking out with a new rod and reel, and spent around 450 dollars all together.  I will try and upload a pictures of everything tomorrow. Got a little carried away this time.
