Throw anything real heavy on that yet? like 2.5-3oz?

scott

Not on this specific one since I just got it. But on the previous gen 73XH I did experiment a little. 2oz was at the very top of the weight range for it. And even then you have to kinda side lob cast it. It can do it but there are far better options for that weight range IMO.

I have Loon color in every Whopper Plopper size, except for the 130. So I decided I'd order one. Went to TW and saw that had a TW exclusive Matte Black color, so went with that instead.

That looks good! Maybe I'll try some flat black spray paint on a plopper.

I saw that pattern at BPS, when I picked up the Bahama Milk Pearl. A few years back, you could swing some deals from overseas on Amazon.

I picked up this beauty for ~$15 USD shipped, took several weeks to arrive along with a Dog X Cayou. I thought it would crush smallies but I've only caught largemouth with it.

Not really tackle, but more tackle storage/organization. Decided to change up how I store most of my soft plastics, so I went to HD and bought a peg board setup. It’s hard to tell but this allows me to store a ton of plastics in a relatively small space. The hooks with the Z-man stuff in the bottom left for instance both have 20 packs per hook.

Hit up the ultimate fishing show in Grand Rapids Michigan.  It’s nice to be able to go to shows again after 2 years.  Mostly went for walleye gear but, found some deals on some bass stuff.

googan summer craw bandito bug %20 off

zman razor shad in hot snakes %20 off

cranking rap on fire tiger for $5

picked up a bag of hula grubs for $3

2 orginal f11 floater rapala’s.  Mostly for trolling walleye but, could use them in the local river for brown bass this spring too.

also picked ( not pictured) up 2 walleye trolling combos.  Rods were diawa wilderness rods and 2  Okuma line counting Magda pros  for $45 each

I haven’t been in a few years, but I gave it some thought this year since KVD was going to be there Thursday. Did you happen to sit through his seminar?

No, but I saw him while he was at the Minnekota booth.  He’s taller than what I thought he was.  I’m 6ft 4 and he’s at least that.  I didn’t talk to him I kinda just hung behind the guy he was taking to.  In that 5 minute snap shot in time he seems like a decent down to earth guy.

the only day I could go was Thursday and my buddy I went with had to be back in Ionia by 5.

Haven't posted on here for a bit. I went to Cabelas over the weekend for the sale and picked up a few things.

Mail call.  Here is the what has came in the mail over the last couple days.

for shallow to mid lipless burning or ripping out if grass I purchased 4 6th sense quake 70’s.  I for got the names already.

also, for the most disserning and picky brown bass in ultra deep clear water IE crystal lake and other deep clear northern Michigan lakes.  A mega bass ITO one ten +1 in perch.  I have another mega bass +1 in pro blue in bound.  Along with bidding on a bunch of LC 78’s and LC 100’s

im hoping after this week most of southern and central Michigan lakes will be clear of ice.  Supposed to be 60 tommrow.  So close I can taste it

Perfect day and time to go, you can get in free and it’s usually pretty quiet early the first day.

I have some thoughts on this order.
1. I am shocked you got yourself a DT. Your hatred for Rapala is legendary. ?
2. That Hybrid Hunter is something I've been eyeing for awhile, I noticed Ray Hanselman tore it up with one during an Elites tourney at the Harris Chain, I hope it does well for you. I might have to acquire one some day.
3. I dig that 110 color, that should play well in our stained lakes.

Unfortunately they catch fish, just stupid fragile. Needed another medium running flatside, so thought I'd try one.

I liked the color, kind of a shad/crappie color. Interesting bait too.

It's a great color and hard to find for a reason.

Bought an air horn and a small first aid kit for my kayak. No photo required I think.

Edit: that's not really the bait monkey though sorry. We both agreed on this one.

Now who in the right mind wouldn’t enjoy a crisp photo of an air horn? ?

I just came from the "Why post photos thread" or whatever, and you're right!

Here is my illustrious new horn and first aid kit. Here's hoping I never need to use either.

That’s hilarious. I feel like I need to show the Swiss army first aid kit I keep in the work truck. It’s really something, complete with the compass that doesn’t work. The kit itself is pretty good though. I’ve found when I don’t have a first aid kit. I never need one. As soon as I get an new one some one ruins it.
