Lunker City had a great deal on Giant Bass. Got two more blade krates, and while they aren’t efficient size wise, the sleeves make it so easy to store baits vs the standard boxes. Will likely carry two for a week long vaca, as spinnerbaits are a huge part of my fishing approach.  got some more snaps and had a bunch of 6th sense baits set aside from the summer sale.  So the Tempress pedestal seat. I was so torn on spending over 100 on this. Out of the box the padding is stout and I went and got it setup right away. This thing is super comfortable to sit on and the front being shaped the way it is vs the pointy of my old seat, I will actually lean on it more for stability in rough water. Can’t wait to get it out on the water to try. It’s kind of funny I am more excited about a seat than the tackle.  I was looking at that same seat last night, haven't pulled the trigger yet. Quote

Super User FishTank Posted December 27, 2021 Super User Posted December 27, 2021 I got ton of fun stuff for Christmas including 4 Megabass Vision 110s, 8 bags of soft plastic, 3 crankbaits, hooks and sinkers, a pair NRS kayak bibs and dry boots, and a Stormr jacket to fish in..... but none of that was really the Bait Monkeys ? fault. This crazy purchase was though...   Who in their right mind spends $90 on pliers?   9 1 Quote

Johnbt Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 I finally got a stainless hook remover for those days when the hemostat, needlenose and shark hook remover won't work for me. Good on the beach, too. Â 1 Quote
MidwestBassAttack Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Not necessarily tackle but very related….picked up my first pair of Costa Blackfins.   3 Quote
walleyecrazy Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I’ve been eyeing the Plano Edge stuff since it came out, and I finally gave in after finding some good deals on them on Amazon. I must say that I am truly impressed with this jig box. I love how easily I can see each individual jig now over my old system of them just being crammed on top of each other in my other boxes. 11 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted December 29, 2021 Global Moderator Posted December 29, 2021 First time ever in a cabelas today. Sheesh they’ve got some stuff!!!! I bought a few things I can’t quite find at home, and then of course a couple rapalas. Can y’all tell I like orange belly lures? Ignore the wife’s lantern lights and ornament  13 Quote

Not sure about some of the others. 6 hours ago, throttleplate said: the guy pictured designed this jerkbait. He swore to me its great for smallies in the river. Thought about offering the guy money so I could hang it up. I've always wondered if it was real, I thought it was just a sales prop. 1 Quote
Super User Cgolf Posted December 31, 2021 Super User Posted December 31, 2021 Last Christmas post. Added the Lucas on Bass to my bookshelf and the Solunar tables book, will reference to see if the hot bite of the day matches the book, and some Musky books. Included a grab of my bookshelf, it is fairly solid and got some based on suggestions from this site.  Also got some 1/4 and 1/8 ounce size Jades Jigs mushroom heads to fish Ned baits around vertical cover under windy conditions when true Ned rigs get blown off the cover and out of the strike zone. 6 Quote
Smallies Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Let's GOOOOOOOooooo...   @cgolf Did you read any of those yet, or just ordered them?  Looks like a great reading list to me ... 8 Quote
Jmurphy87 Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Finally got time to take my daughter out Christmas shopping for me lol, a couple jerkbaits some cranks and a few lipless, last but not least some plastics. I have been wanting to try out the googan scout jerkbait for about a year now, saw a kit at dicks that came with both the full size and a Jr so I figured why not. They had a sale buy one kit and get on 50% off. Then we stopped at Ollie's and I grabbed some lucky craft lures for $7 a piece so not too bad. My jerkbait box is slowly getting there, some megabass, jackal, spro, Berkley, yo zuri, duo realis, lucky craft, Rapala and probably something else I can not remember lol. 8 Quote

lynxcat Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 I bought a gift card earlier in the week to stack some additional savings on the 25 days of Christmas sale at TW. I fish small ponds exclusively so dipping my foot with wakebaits. I can NEVER fish standard cranks so hoping that one of the 3-4 options I purchased here will be able to stay just sub surface. Love the quiver worms at this price...really nice for Neko rigging in the winter. Never used Tatsu before but winter is upon us so might as well use the best...hoping it works well for drop shot leaders. 6lb is the lightest I've ever purchased.  Product Name                    Order   Price   Total Seaguar Tatsu Line 6lb 200yd              1   27.99   27.99 Yo-Zuri 3DR Wakebait Real Gizzard Shad 50mm       1   4.99   4.99 Yo-Zuri 3DR Wakebait Real Glass Minnow 70mm       1   4.99   4.99 Gama SuperLine Offset EWG 4/0 25pk           1   16.09   16.09 Xzone Lures Muscle Back Craw Black Blue Flk 4"     1   3.49   3.49 Xzone Lures Muscle Back Craw Houdini 4"         1   3.49   3.49 Dirty Jigs M.A. Swimbait Head Blue Shad 3/8 3pk     1   4.19   4.19 Dirty Jigs Guppy Head Tennessee Shad 3/16oz 1/0     1   4.89   4.89 Red Eye Shad Tungsten 2 Tap Albino Craw 3/4oz      1   5.58   5.58 Missile Baits Quiver Worm Cherry Blossom 6.5" 6pk    1   2.79   2.79 Missile Baits Quiver Worm Fisholicious 4.5" 8pk     1   2.79   2.79 Missile Baits Quiver Worm Goby Bite 4.5" 8pk      1   2.79   2.79 KVD Shallow Squarebill Clearwater Minnow        1   3.90   3.90 Z-Man Chatterbait Custom Chartreuse White 3/8oz 4/   1   4.89   4.89 Z-Man Chatterbait Custom Citrus Shad 3/8oz 4/0     1   4.89   4.89 Yo-Zuri 3DR Jerkbait Real Glass Minnow         1   4.99   4.99 Z-Man Eye Strike Chatterbait Black 3/8oz 4/0      1   5.89   5.89 Z-Man Batwingz Jig Trailer Green Pumpkin 2.75"     1   3.99   3.99 Strike King 2.5 Wakebait Chart Blue Black Splatter   1   5.98   5.98 PowerPro Spectra 300yd Moss Green 20lb         1   18.89   18.89 9 Quote
Super User Cgolf Posted January 6, 2022 Super User Posted January 6, 2022 Kind of torn on posting this, but it might be my last purchase of Baby Menace and Menace grubs, 24 total packs. TW sale price was pretty good and the 1/4 oz firetiger RES was on close out so I grabbed 4 since it has been a good color for me.  trying another 6th sense lipless, some spinnerbait components and some smallie smashers. 12 Quote
BlakeMolone Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Bought two jerkbait lots for a good deal, it’s fun because I never would have picked some of these colors but in person they look amazing and I’m so pumped to use them. Figured out the pointer 78s I love so much are actually pointer 95s I believe, I kept thinking people were sending me 65s by mistake ? live and learn I guess, I’m really pumped to fish the slender pointers more, already caught a couple on them and they look great in the water. 13 Quote
