Trying to expand on my late season jerk bait success this last fall.  I’m trying to stock up for the coming spring .I have  Also watching a ton of you tube videos.

Hook up tackle in Arizona  puts out good you tube videos breaking down all the difffernt kinds of mega bass and lucky strike jerk baits.

so I’ve been binging a little on them.  These in this photo are all of the ones I’ve won off of eBay over the last month. 3 still in packages are lucky 100’ sp’s.  I won the top 2 walleye colored ones I won on eBay for $10.50 total. The blue gill 100 sp I paid $9.50 for. The bottom right 2 are lucky craft 110 lighting pointers in ghost minnow and blue gill. I forget how much I paid but, don’t believe it was over $12.

id like to add some size 78 for the spring and probably purchase a couple mega bass ones too.

I’ve not used the Pointer series before.  I’ve used the lighting pointer from other mfgs. Those walleye colored ones could be killer.  Also could pass for perch. The bluegill looks good too for muddier or darker water.  I’m sure both will get plenty of attention from the various esox species as well.

Unlike vision 110’s, they suspend parallel(straight - ) rather than like this /.  My first ever jerkbait fish was on one, in Ghost Minnow.

I only live 2.5 hours south of him so shipping was quick! I should’ve drove up their to pick them up so I could meet the legend himself!

Finally won some lucky craft 78 sp’s.  The silver one I’ve bee. Trying to win now for 3 weeks. Each one was in a 2 pack.  The silver and the perch colored ones should be good colors for around here. Plus saved 8.99 on combined shipping. Should have them here in about a week.

maybe on the prowl for some more I’m not

Really impressed, ordered from ALF on Monday and it was on the doorstep today. Also want to thank many on the spinnerbait rod thread I started. This was the rod that I chose that hopefully will fit my needs. If not I also have a MHM Victory on the way and this will be a square bill or lipless rod.

Add in the Patriarch 7.1 I purchased used a bit ago and the Supreme-30 my MIL gave me - and this is the (planned) sum total of my purchases this winter...rest of my money goes into the boat.

Round two. First time I’ve ordered from 7 Palms but they had a ton of stock I couldn’t find elsewhere, prices were good, and shipping was reasonably fast all things considered.

Also got in the Tequila Baccarac I ordered from TW during the sale. Have a Met DC on order for this. Hoping this rod can really perform well across this wide range of weights.

And the Twin Power also showed up for my new Wind Buster. I will get this one out and christen it tomorrow on some light jerk baits.

That MB TB is a crazy rod.  It's fished everything I've thrown at it and it's been anywhere from good to great.  Boot tail swimbaits 5-7" both weedless and open hook anywhere from 3/8 - 1oz (lead only), 1/2-1oz spinnerbaits slow rolled, 6" bull shad // S Waver, and punching jigs used horizontally to pop/rip through deep weedbeds in the summer are currently my favorite uses.  Balances really well with a Bantam, so Met DC should be a great combo.  Only negatives are the strange small trigger that makes me palm differently and there's no 7'6" version to also buy.

Awesome to hear… That’s what I was shooting for, something super versatile. I’ll probably also throw some frogs and some mega-sized topwater crawlers on it as well.

It is also a great frog rod and I'm sure it'll be good for mega-crawlers, the nearest I've thrown is a WP190.  I junk fish most all the time, the TB is like a security blanket.  I feel like everything in between finesse and big glides are on the table.  Honestly, the big glides can be fished just fine on it, except my casting distance suffers with the short rod lob cast.  Same with heavy A-rigs.

Such a great and unique action rod, I think you'll love it.  I've landed more than a few 4lb+ bass on it and a couple 40"+ Northerns and the way it stays loaded yet full of power means they stay hooked up.  I don't think I'd ever get rid of it.

Picked up quite a few things during the sales. I needed a reel with a higher gear ratio and did not want to break the bank, so I purchased the CR80. For such a cheap reel it feels solid!

Im also really excited to try out the Gillys. I’ve taken a look them but they won’t get used until next spring.

I would be shocked if those didn’t catch the heck out of them

I honestly didn't even know Berkley made a maxscent tube until @FryDog62 told me about it this fall.  Obviously anything maxscent has been hard to come by so when the local retailer had some, I pounced even though I won't be fishing again until next May.
