Holetail Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Was traveling for work on Wednesday and stopped into a local tackle shop that I heard was a Dobyns dealer. Have 7 Fury rods but wanted to handle some of their other lines since no one around home stocks them. Ended up bringing home a Sierra 682C to use for finesse swimbaits, slider rigs, weightless worms etc. Paid full price to support a local shop even though there are sales all over for this rod. Figured it was worth it just to be able to put my hands on one. They even offered a reel from the case to put on it to check balance. Wishing we did, but also happy we don’t have a shop like this (mostly saltwater here) closer to home or the monkey would be worse. 2 Quote

I wont mind if you are correct on the ticklerz. Out of the several neds I have tried the TRD's arent the best producer for me. Actually disappointed given the amount of time throwing them. 1 Quote

Super User J._Bricker Posted November 13, 2021 Super User Posted November 13, 2021 My good friend Mr. Jones, also known to many of us as the Bait Monkey, assisted with procuring some baits and a little bling for the new trolling motor ? 9 Quote
Super User king fisher Posted November 13, 2021 Super User Posted November 13, 2021 I think I have a problem. I caught my PB on a spinnerbait and this is what happened.  I I caught another on a Square bill, and this is what happened. I sure hope I don't catch my next PB on a Jackhammer. I should have never let the Bait Monkey talk me in to buying a $15 dollar bait. At first I was scared of loosing it, now I realize catching a giant bass on it might be worse.  7 5 Quote

Functional Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Picked up a pack of rattling Ned's to try since regular doesn't work great in my muddy home lake. Rage tail cut-r and just about a box worth of Seibert jigs. Also got a second SLX mgl... absolutely love this reel.  Also..my zoom winnings showed up and I have no idea how the hell I'm going to store and organize this. 3 Quote

Jmurphy87 Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Well that got more expensive than I planned lol. I have plenty of high end gear but I appreciate cheaper things just as much oddly. Been wanting to try a Abu Garcia baitcaster. Decided on the new pro max wanted to match it up with a plx rod. Went to the local tackle shop and they had a st croix victory rod in finally, so I grabbed it 7,3 Marshall some 15lb invisix a jig and some trailers and some pink worms. Don't know why. 12 Quote
Super User gim Posted November 21, 2021 Super User Posted November 21, 2021 Received the Plano 3700 weekend series bag. At first glance it’s pretty good. It comes with two 3700 boxes so I’ll have to snag another at some point. Not bad for 19 bucks. 6 Quote
