The monkey took me for everything I had. Being delivered 7/7 I’ve got the following:

2021 Zillion

Tatula 150

6 Jack hammers

Few packs of 6th sense plastics

2 spools of sufix 832

1 spool 16lb sniper

all that is on top of the Daiwa BLX that just got delivered… you win this time monkey.

My wife picked where we were going for vacation. Which really put the bait monkey on me, since she never picks anywhere with bass or saltwater that I’d be prepared for. I couldn’t have the kids learning to fly fish on location, so this is for them to use (except the fly rod). These KastKing rods are the real deal. These are legit fishing rods that also happen to be telescopic. The are more MH than M and faster than the “mod fast” as advertised. If you need an all around MH Fast travel rod, with a little give in the tip. This is it.

I bet theres quite a few people out there who’d know where abouts we’re going just from the looks of this baitmonkey project.

Good call. She chose Yellowstone. So trout fishing in Montana. I wanted to go to Texas or Florida. Basically, she was like “we’re never going to Texas.”

I have used Curado's for years. I needed to get my yearly upgrade and decided on this one. I have never owned a Cronarch and look forward to seeing what it can do.

Haha! I’ve fished in Yellowstone a tad. Make sure the treble hooks and scented bait are legal for the specific waters before you take them, I can’t recall the regs

I also hope that barbs are permitted. I don’t really want to pinch them all down. How did you do?

I think my brother caught a couple, I got zilch in the firehole and Madison river. In my defense, I was 12 years old and had started fly fishing a few days before

i got a fly rod, but I’m bringing a telescopic casting rod, just in case the fly fishing doesn’t work out. I have never fly fished. I still have to get out and practice. Not sure if it’s worth it to fly fish. A lot of people are using spinners.

I’ve been a fly fishing instructor since ‘07 and I prefer throwing spinners haha

Fly fishing is overrated. Not that there’s anything wrong with it.

If you want to get really frustrated, fly fish.  Everything that can go wrong, does.  You line gets wrapped on everything.

Also, fly line gets stuck on everything.   You wouldn't think it would, being super big around.

But when everything comes together right, there is nothing better!

That’s what I’m after. Big rainbows. Because I caught them when I was a kid, but the biggest ones were about 6 inches.

Caught that on a nymph not much bigger than my pinky finger nail.

The ones they stock in the lakes here eat trout like that. I use to target them, but the big ones seem to eat bass baits better, so they just became a bycatch instead. They're almost a nuisance at times. Usually get them on 110 sized jerkbaits, this one on a 3/8oz bladed jig this spring was a first.

My buddy went back to back cast on these 2 with a Duo 110. He's a big boy that normally makes fish look small.

Somebody said “use a big worm!”, so I took that for action. Stopped by Academy on the way  home and picked up some Zoom  Mag O Monster 12” worms in Red Shad. Bought a pack of Gammy 5/0 EWG’s to use on ‘em. Well, I was there, and tried to be (semi) frugal. Picked up some 4” Rage Menace in green pumpkin for jig trailers, some new Gammy 3/0 EWG’s and a H2O Hard Jointed Sunfish swimbait in Bluegill.

I’ve been wanting a Gantarel for awhile now and the monkey twisted my arm today til I laid out the cash. Bought it at 5pm and had it wet by 7! No takes today but impressed with what I saw. I almost thought it suspended but it is an extremely slow riser. Looks amazing. I am so impressed with its many actions I am ready to buy a couple of the bluegill patterns. And oh yea 3 more packs of Liz-Zards lol

Taking my Mexican Jerkbait game up a level with the new Lucky Craft Pointer 158 !

This ones a mouthful for sure.

Hoping to feed these to a few Giants down south.

For size reference, the middle baits are a standard MB 110 and a LC 128  . . . .
