Looks like you got a cage for the monkey, USE IT.

He broke out. Some of the rods and reels were because of him too! There’s no taming him. It’s like the movie the ring! You watch it, it’s passed on to you. Thanks for commenting. Good luck!

Never go to Cabela's or BPS with no intentions of buying something.  Always have a plan because the monkey has one for you.....

I couldn't pass up the trade in deal so I ended up with 2 Curados (one left and one right), a few odds and ends, and a St. Croix Premier.  This will be my first Premier so we will see how it goes.

Trade in a rod or reel, get $$ off a new rod or reel. One trade in per purchase allowed, amount of discount is based on price of new item...no matter what you're trading in.

Well SOB, I was there yesterday and have a couple junk reels. Oh well, wouldn’t have even covered my gas there and back.

I may do it next year - if I remember to save some money for it. Got a couple old reels and a couple 'junky' rods sitting around gathering dust.

That's it.

I try not to knock reels and stuff too much but I tried a couple of Lew's reels and it didn't work out.  I had returned one (second time in a month) and I was going to donate the other and an old setup that was collecting dust> which gave me a hole to fill.   I know a few guys that love Lew's so I will just keep my reasons and which ones to myself out respect for those who like them.

I was talking to a sales associate at Bass Pro yesterday as I was picking out my Tatula and he asked how I liked them. He went on to say he hasn’t been happy with Lews one bit.

My son picked up a Lews Mach Smash yesterday, so we’ll see how he likes it. The combo feels nice. We’ve never owned Lews until this point.

Attacked by the bait monkey over the past two months. Much of it not pictured, because it hasn't arrived yet. The monkey made me buy the rod, then made me hunt down and buy the sv103xs to mount on it.

THEN, shouted that my TDZ 103H needed some parts upgraded.

sv103xs with RCS 1016 spool, mounted on a first gen Orochi XX Tour Versatile.

TDZ 103H with ZPI RC-001 spool, Steez EX 100mm handle, OG Zillion drag star.

The monkey and I have like 30 jigs in the mail from Siebert. The monkey is VERY serious.  Spooling up now!

Just picked up these slow rise suspend Walleye Nation jerkbaits from outlet bait. Most were wild walleye colors, but the Shad and perch should be good for bass. The bubbleyum reminds me of the bandit mad cow pattern that has done really well for me with smallies. Still really like the handwritten thank you.

I bought a new tackle box last November, but finally brought it home.

CrCF5L1.jpg

Didn't clean it and the garage is a wreck.  The wall behind it is coming out in a month or so as I am adding a stall to make it fit better.  Luckily I didn't have to park it outside on the concrete for the stall, but managed to shoe horn it into the current stall.  There was a whopping 6" of vertical clearance, there is 1/2" behind the motor when it is down and turned and 1" in front of the trailer tongue.

...thank the monkey for making me need a larger tackle box, just glad Ranger makes one that works.

Once I clean it up I will share more pics elsewhere...this is how she was straight out of storage.

I have a mama size, and I had to put a swivel(without the snap) to a split ring on the line tie, so that thing wouldn't twist up my line really bad when I throw it.  I lost a spool of braid to one of the those, the line twisted so bad from throwing it, that the braid would hardly cast.  But my plopper could have just been a bad one. ?‍♂️

That kayak sonar thing is awesome!  The yak is looking ???

Latest 6th sense monthly box came in.  Looks like good stuff . Soft plastic  Blue gill fire prawn, ghost ice divine swim baits, curve 55 in natural craw, thud 70 in black magic, provoke 106x herring Shad, and a black vegga frog.  I don’t have a frog rod do everybody can see where this is going haha.

between the walleye trolling stuff and bass lures I have bought a metric butt ton in lures over the last month.  I would put most ma and pa shops to shame right now.

long as my truck is done getting the front panels tommrow I’m hopping my first trip of the year is Saturday

Trying out some new soft plastics. They look good. Seems like they’ll Be fairly durable. The fat finesse worm looks just the right size.
