Rattles you say.... Like what kind?

I use both of these. The Archelon has a tiny hole on the bottom side that you can slide the rattle into. The body actually has a cavity where it sits perfectly (you may already know this). It's also a tight fit so the rattle won't fall out. Insert it in the hole and then work it up towards the head of the bait with your fingers. And then insert the hook.

Easily one of my top flipping/pitching baits. In super clear water I don't use the rattles, tho.

Ok, cool. I'll have to get some of those for the couple places that I fish which are muddier. Most of my water is clear. Yeah, that cavity makes for a great bait in heavy cover. Its also my top bait for this application. Had to replace the stocks for the coming season, couldn't take a chance that they would be backordered. I did notice not all the colors were available but I got what I needed.

A while back a certain poster on here mentioned how the Archelons may be discontinued, so I made sure I stocked up. I couldn't even tell you how many packs I have because of that. Thankfully they were wrong. :D

I'm glad I didn't hear that! My poor wallet...

Store shelves are still well stocked, but I'm noticing online retailers are quickly finding themselves backordered on a lot of stuff, from gear to baits.

Finally got a pair of good sunglasses and picked up another Tatula Type-R to match a recent custom build.

Same here. And while store stocks seem to be good, variety is not.

Thanks for the 'pre-confidence'.  I picked up several bags of these on sale last year and need to wet one.

Be careful, might make some of your other baits obsolete, lol.

Well I finally found myself a jerkbait\popper rod...ended up going with a st Croix mojo 6ft 8 med ex fast. I wanted a fast but this is what they had..still has a fairly soft tip and I'm gonna spool it up with 10# big game so it should perform just fine. Best part was I walked into Scheels with $150 in gift cards and the rod after tax was $149.80. Perfect!

Placed my first Siebert's order:

Fogy - Weight: 3/8, Blade Color: Black Nickel, Collar: Wire Tie, Skirt Color: Black & Blue
Fogy - Weight: 3/8, Blade Color: Black Nickel, Collar: Wire Tie, Skirt Color: Hot Sauce
Fogy - Weight: 3/8, Blade Color: Black Nickel, Collar: Wire Tie, Skirt Color: Lightning Craw
Fogy - Weight: 3/8, Blade Color: Stainless, Collar: Wire Tie, Skirt Color: MudShad
Cosmic Double Willow Spinnerbait - Weight: 3/8, Collar: Wire Tie, Skirt Color: Super White

Then ordered what is seemingly the only Yamamoto Zako 4” 6pk Watermelon Copper Orange Red Laminate left in existence from ALF

Also ordered some bearings for some level wind upgrades during teardown/cleaning.

fleetfarm has boxes of stock sitting in the isles and is in the process of stocking the shelves.

I bought a couple of these jigs, they are $1.49 a piece, this is not a sale and looks to be a brand that is new to me and the fleetfarm i go to.

The jig has a molded in bait hold and checks all the boxes for what i need in a jig and not worry if i lose it.

I'll keep that in mind. I have a few bags of Shellcrackers I've been meaning to dip into.

I mostly use them as jig trailers, so it's not even like I go through them quickly, but they were unique enough that I panicked when I thought I couldn't get any more.

I was gonna give them a shot bed fishing last year but then forgot.

I decided I want to try some soft plastics from some of the smaller bait makers this year to see what they may be able to come up with. I saw these flat worms from Next level baits, and couldn’t help but order some to try them out. I got a single pack of the red shad, and a bunch of packs of the perch color. I think this perch color may be a winner for my drop shot fishing in my local lake.

Picked up a G. Loomis PR844C GLX.  Odd rod but fun to fish.  Sensitive, old school taper, and loads perfectly.

Also the Monkey got me for some tackle.  $150 goes quick these days....

Addressed a low inventory of assorted terminal tackle as well as a couple of the more productive early season paddletails.

Nice.  Have to ask.... What do you use the split rings for?
