New jig setup. Scorpion 70XG mounted on a 7'2 H Expride spooled up with 16lb Sniper. There is a new handle and knobs on the way for the Scorpion. Feels pretty good, can't wait to get it on the water.

Great minds must think alike! Other than the fact this is a Curado K I have the EXACT same set up for jig fishing.

Went to visit my mother and step father over in Up state New York for the week end. My step father came across his dads tackle and gave it to me. Now his dad passed  22 years ago. Lots of really cool stuff. Everything is 22 years old or older.

What is crazy is that Rapala basically has the same box for their lures over many years. I bought a bunch of old ones at an auction and the same box as now. Have one or two really old that are a box with the same color i think, but different graphics. Their marketing team is either lazy, or genius. Guessing the brand recognition is so strong they might lose that on a display rack if they altered the colors.

That is a great get. Now the question is how many of those will see water?

How much will see water. That ? Has been running through my mind since I got home. The opened stuff in the box will see water. The unopened I’m not sure.

Well I told myself I needed a couple lipless crankbaits and placed an order Sunday night, just got it today. Also ordered a st croix bass x 7’2” mh moderate straight from st croix, been curious about that rod for awhile and I needed a squarebill/lipless rod. That rod will get the extra curado Dc I have sitting in my garage. Might need to go to bait monkey anonymous, bait monkey took over hardcore after I put those first couple red eye shads in my cart.

Ordered a big bunch of tungsten weights from omfishingsinkers last week.  Was pretty excited to receive them today.  OMFS usually takes 5 or 6 weeks to ship.  Figured they must be using a US distributor now.   I checked my emails and found that I'd ordered some on July 12....forgot about it and ordered again last week....Oh well...I have been going through them pretty fast, anyway...lol

I ordered from them for the first time before a trip where I was going to be doing a lot of drop shotting. Says 9-11 business days but, gave myself 3 weeks time. Didn't get them in time which sucked, but they gave me a little discount since they changed the time frame they provided 3 times. It took 5-6 weeks in the past? With the pandemic and slow shipping they said the time was more 20ish business days or 4 weeks.

Came home to the package, was pretty happy with the stuff. Will def order from again just way in advance haha

You ever use any of there stuff with Hooks? Like the swinging football head? Hooks look decent and have nice little protectors on them as well. The scrounger heads have HUGE bills lol like double the size of the ones I had.

I have not.  I've gotten pretty particular about my hooks in my old age

Yeah I understand that, reason I asked, for the price I couldn't resist and had to hit the $40 free shipping mark haha

I will let you know how they do, first impression seem decent to good.

Well, you guys are going to be seeing some oldies, but goodies from me here in the next few days. I went on a mission to find some older Shimano reels and I feel like I was pretty successful. Most of these were bought from the classified section of different forums that I am on. I got most of them shortly after they were posted. First up is a MINT Chronarch 200e7. I replaced the handle with a 96mm handle from a Chronarch 150 G XG. All it needed was a washer used as a shim and the drag functions perfect. This reel will be used on a Shimano Crucial (original green model with cork grip) 6'6 MH for 3/8 oz spinnerbaits in creeks. I have a few more reels coming that I will post as I get them.

Very nice....  Love the E Chronarchs.  I have the 51e and it has always been a great reel.   There's just something about them.

Was making a Siebert Outdoors order for some jigheads and spinnerbaits and couldn't resist jumping on the jackhammer bandwagon.

Gonna have 3 x 3/8 oz Brett's Bluegill ones coming in soon :D

I am curious why this thread was moved to this subforum after all this time - it's mostly tackle.

cool stuff

I see a bunch of old Rebel minnows! Great as jerk baits, top water, and on a steady retrieve. You have some nice colors there too.

Found a set of Lucky Craft 1.5s on Amazon for a pretty good price and couldn't talk myself out of buying them.

They're pretty, though. Got one each of KinKuro Michael, FF Striped Gill, Shine Tone Gill, Magma Peacock, and Cow Boy Gill.

This is a good deal that they put up often with different colors. Ive suspected that they may be factory seconds due minor issues ive had (poor paint in some areas, eyes falling off) on about 1/10 of them, but in either case, they are great and do catch fish. Youll enjoy them!

Word. Thanks for the info. I kind of suspected it was something like that, but I can't find anything on these to complain about. Especially for about $4.80 apiece compared to what their first runs sell for on TW and all that.
