Hooks come in many flavors for kids and cost a heck of a lot more than any feathered trebles I have seen. Lol Quote

Lol I’ve always been curious about trying some high end glides like that but with how many pike and musky I have in my waters it’s always kept me from pulling the trigger. I’ve had a mid 30” pike split a 168 s waver in half after he rolled around in the net with it, would hate to see that happen with a high end glide. Most glides aren’t designed to be fished on 80-100lbs floro or titanium leaders either, really impacts the action. Worst part is the best times to throw glides for me, spring and fall, is also the same time when the pike are shallow and the most active. Quote

Lobocito Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Broke my last rod that was soft enough for cranking trying to get my 5XD off a stump on Sunday. Sunday night: Duckett Jacob Wheeler 7'2 MH Composite Tuesday: BassX 7'2 M/MF Shimano SLX 200yds 14# Sunline FC Sniper Thursday: BassX 7'2 MH/M Might send the Wheeler rod back if I'm satisfied with the MH/M. This St Croix B-stock sale is about to lead me way further down the rabbit hole though... Quote

Chonch12 Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Welp BPS screwed me out of my Ci4+ sale so I decided to splurge on some other things realizing I really didn't need the reel. 2nd order from Siebert Outdoors, cant wait to try out the other Fogy colors since I have been killin it on the Hot Sauce and 2 different Dredge packages to try out. Been wanting to try the Space Monkey and ManBearPig for little while now and always good to stock up on some Dark Sleepers, although may have ordered few too many. Anyone try out that ChaseBait Mudbug? Couldnt resist giving it a go. S/O to Scheels, 1st time ordering, super fast and great sale. Like always Siebert crazy fast turn around time 3 Quote
Super User PhishLI Posted June 18, 2020 Super User Posted June 18, 2020 Can't wait to throw this Scum Frog Launch frog. Super soft bodied! There aren't enough deep lakes here to warrant a deep cranking rig, but there are some way east of me. This 7'9" Defy will get me in the big crank game for low $ the few times a year I can get out there, and will double as a Ganteral, G2, WP 130, and other 1.5-ish oz type treble baits stick the rest of the time when I'm working shallow water. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to chuck a 2oz Bull Gill in a pinch with it too. It'll get the Icon PT with 20lb Big Game. Perfect Yak rig. If I dump I'm only out a shade over 100 Bucks. 3 Quote

I have...far less than @Bluebasser86 has, but they're my favorite hardbody jerk. I don't know how they compare to the megabass and luckycraft stuff, but they fish great and, like, dig into the water very predictably for me. Love 'em. Quote

Mbirdsley Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Stopped at Hicks Outdoors in Clio to get ready for a trip to Saginaw bay on Saturday. I’d like to start learning the shakey head so I bought some jigs 3/32 and 3/16. kvd fat baby finesse worms in dirt and black/blue flake. Wish they had the 7 inch worms but, they didn’t. I have some magnum trick worms and swamp crawlers if I have to go bigger. been wanting to try power bait max scent general worm. Finally broke down and bought a bag to try. I like that baby bass color I think it would be killer in clear water. Bought some strike king shime sticks. Summer craw color has been good all year so far. This watermelon chart laminate is preatty close. bought another Strike king crank series 4 . I don’t know why I haven't had a crank bite all year yet. They are like crack though. I’d like to try some differnt crank brands but, all anybody carries is rapala, strike king, bombers, and occasionaly a bandit. 3 Quote

galyonj Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Picking up some stuff for fish with tiny mouths today…plus one or two things I wanted. Though I'd love to see the bluegill that would tuck into a 4" Rage Bug. I bet it'd be the size of a Peterbilt steering wheel. Actually that'd be terrifying. Bluegill are mean. 1 Quote
