Because of all the posts and reading all the threads on jigs on this site, I had to grab a few more jigs.  The past 2 weeks I have been throwing jigs and catching a lot more snags and even more leaves than fish.  I lost a bunch of jigs fishing in the river and around home so I had to replace some.

The only takeout food we'll order in the age of corona is Italian dinners that are cooked in a tin at 500 degrees F. No cooties! One baked ravioli, one baked eggplant parm, and an order of baked clams runs us $43 at our favorite spot, so that's what I bid on this reel last week. Hey, if I can get a decent reel for the cost of takeout for 2 why not?  Plus I'm on a Quantum buzz since I grabbed a Tour S3 that I'm very happy with. I won this Icon PT for $39.99 + 8.95 usps blue shipping from Simmons which is an authorized Quantum dealer, so a safe bet. If the rain stops I'll get to fish with it today. Solid tank of a reel at 8 oz. It looks to be the exact frame and sideplates as the Vapor PT. Comfy in the palm. It spins nicely. It clicks nicely. ACS Centrifugal braking. We'll see how it goes.

I got this reel last season for $60. It felt great and did really well for me throughout the season but I abused the hell out of it. Frogged through sludge and never even wiped it down so it was Pretty much toast when I went to do some reel maintenance over the winter. It was seized up but after cleaning and greasing it worked again. It just never felt the same. I learned my lesson for all future reels. Don't be like me. Take care of it.

I break down and grease new reels right away, then several times during the season. It takes very little time. We'll see how it goes. So far so good. Nice tank of a reel. Many of it's parts are available at Tackleservice.com if you need something.

Even if you do abuse it you’re only out $49. It’ll handle far more abuse than any other reel in that price range.

Zoom creature baits for NED jig heads.  Just started throwing the NED rig, I'm sold!  Trying to avoid anymore purchases for a bit as the wife can't understand why I need 10 of everything.  I do want a new MotorgGuide Tour Pro 82lb with GPS as soon as they're available as my current TM is getting very long in the tooth.  Just waiting for them to ship.

Thanks. The reel stood up to a ton of a abuse it probably just needed some care that I didn't bother to give it. I did clean it and fix it up so it is running fine enough and I'll be giving it to a buddy as a starter since I have now added I believe 5 new reels to my arsenal this season. ?

Still waiting on a couple 110's to come in but received the bulk of the bait monkey's latest splurge.

I also picked up 2 new pairs of Smith sunglasses (also backordered) and an Outdoor Research paclite jacket to keep with me in my tackle bag.

I always pay for the 2 day at least. I think it was $11 and I got my Stradic in about 3 days. It shipped the next day. But I am also incredibly impatient.

Yeah. Talked myself out of it. It'll get here when it gets here.

A few random finds today. Spro swivels for Carolina rigs, some shakey head jigs for my Jackall Flicks. I have been liking this FYAO brand of soft plastics. I've been using their devil bugs for years now and today found these giant hellgrammite stick baits in 3 colors. Can wacky or rig on the shakey, could even cut up and ned.

Treated myself to a Falcon Bucoo SR 7' M/MF spin crank rod. Replacing a well worn H2O that has caught me countless fish (including my PB smallmouth), so it has big shoes to fill. It feels nice, hoping it performs as good as it feels.

I use a Bucoo for my cranking rig. You'll be very pleased.

Is it the spinning cranking rod? I've got a few casting rods I use for bigger, more standard sized cranks, but I fish 1.0s and #5 shad raps a lot on a spinning rod and not many companies make a spinning rod geared towards cranking.

Nosir, mine is a 7' M/M casting rod, and there are times I feel like it's got a hair less backbone in the blank than I'd like. So the M/MF that you got, if it follows that, ought to be a really great blank for the purpose.
