Those 50 e feels are classic that will last a long time.  ?

I know, I'm shocked I got one in such good condition for so cheap. Going to be opening her up soon and replacing whatever parts I can still get new.

You aren’t kidding!  Customs is probably a nightmare too.  Best of luck with that, post some close-ups when you get that beaut in hand!

She finally made it to Customs. Wait and wait, and now we wait some more.

Mail call! Tatula 7'1 heavy came in today.  Now to slide some 50 lb braid on this new Origin C.  Its feels really good on the rod... it's looks sweet too!  Now just 2 more rods to buy.... be a shame to leave these reels without rods.

Pardon my camera guys, got a shattered lens on a 4 year old phone.  Too busy buying gear to worry about a phone.

An unexpected tackle store stop resulted in an Evergreen ShowerBlow 125 in American Shad and a pack of Zoom Centipedes. Bait monkey nodded in approval at checkout

I started exploring some local shops online cause most shops are locked up due to you know who. I feel a lot more confident using black/blue after last season, and the monkey told me to treat myself. I like dirty jigs, they have an amazing colour selection, beautiful paint jobs, and many jighead options to fit your desire. I like the touch of gr. pumpkin added to the skirt, but I gotta say after getting a 3-pack of Dobyns fb jigs with a mix of live rubber, the most insane keeper AND wire tied, I don't know if I can go back to Dirty Jigs.

I recently decided that I “needed” a dedicated setup for throwing bigger swimbaits. I picked up a Leviathan 8’ heavy Omega swimbait rod paired with a Daiwa Coastal TWS. I got out to use it for the first time today, and I think I may be in love ? This rod is incredibly light and balanced for its size and power.

Me: I already have enough reels.

Monkey: No. No you don't.

Me: OK, you're right. Click.

Tatula 200 and 150.

Are these two reels the same exact frame size? Wondering if they would palm the same.

These are finally arriving today, all but one anyway, hopefully I can get out this afternoon and try them out, even though the temps is barely above 40

Yes. Same frame on both. Same as the "pre-CT" Tatula Type R 100.

Have not really bought anything tackle related lately.  Today at the surplus store  picked up a blue gill berkly cutter 110.  2 packs of kalins size mic shad That I’ll use for spinner baits I think.  Since it will be to windy to launch the boat tommrow.  I think I’m heading trout fishing so I picked up a golden f-7 rapala ( I can use it for smallies in smaller river also.

oh I also bought a lot of 6 war eagle spinner baits in various sizes from eBay. Those hsvnt come in the mail yet

Looks awesome. I've been keeping my eyes open this past year on three sites that carry their baits from time to time and I just barely missed it when one of them got a small shipment. I'm looking forward to hearing how you like it.

Needed to get geared up for small swimbaits and also needed to replace a spinning reel. I took the "logical" route and decided to buy a reel to put at the top of my lineup and cull others down. Felt a little uneasy shelling that out for a reel, but at 25% off for a reel I'll have the rest of my life the bait monkey told me it was definitely worth it...

That 1000 size seems like it's going to be perfect on the 822.
