Once again.....

I am still waiting on 2 Huddlestons and 1 Spro from Tackle Warehouse.  My best find from the Bait Monkey was another Calcutta 251 I got at an antique store to go with the 13 Fishing Muse Black Swimbait Rod.

Trip to the hardware store for some things to do more mods to the canoe with...stopped at a local shop to peruse. Had 5 BC reels but only 4 usable rods...though one of the reels is a cheapie Quantum. The shop had Diawa Laguna rods on display - perfect, inexpensive rod for a cheap reel. So now I'm up to 9 rigs...which means building another rod rack for the canoe instead of just inserting another holder into the current rack.

Got in my shipment of JDM crawlers yesterday. Finally got hooks on all the Lobina Rico blems from the Christmas sale, so they are in here too.

Lamiglas X11 7' ultralight casting rod came Friday.

Looks nice and hope it works out for you, but since when is 1/8-1/2 oz considered "ultralight"?

Lamiglas is strange with their rod ratings.  I also have the spinning variant of this rod, rated for 1/16-1/4 and the action between both is the same as far as I can tell.

Those are very strange ratings - my Diawa UL is rated 1/32-1/4. My Dobyns ML is rated 1/8-1/2, my Avocet ML 1/8-5/8. That 1/16-1/4 looks more like a Light than an Ultra-Light.

It's strange, even on the Lamiglas website, it says it's 1/16-1/4.  https://www.lamiglas.com/collections/x-11-freshwater-trout-panfish

I've got the Dobyn's 735 cb glass. With solid stuff like crankbaits I just can't get enough of this rod. It's so wonderful to pull a fish in with it. The fish fights it and the rod seems to fight the fish. I'll bet you'll be loving it too.

Which model pompadour is that?  The wings look shorter than I would have expected...

Just placed an order for a bunch of Jack Hammers on Japan Lure Shop.  Cheapest price I've found so far.

I added this custom Ike Live Abu Garcia Revo Premier to my arsenal on Monday. I received it from a contest on the Ike Live podcast show. It got a pretty good work out today throwing a Red Eye Shad around.

It’s the regular (full size) Pompadour. The wings just look small next to those other crawlers.

However, did you know that they do make a mega pompadour? 4.8” and 2 oz. Didn’t grab one this time but will snag one on the next order.

Got the Expride today! Planned on putting a Shimano SLX 70 MGL on it but after holding it I decided to put a Bantam on it. This will work till my 2020 Met comes in.

Got the SLX MGL 70 yesterday. Needed some upgrades/cosmetic work to make me like it a bit more. Added Curado K knobs, knob caps and 4 bearings to the handle. Put a Bantam handle nut on and painted the cast control cap with some Mercury Phantom Enamel Engine paint I had (hoping it holds up). Turned out pretty good. Threw it on a 7'2 MH Zodias with 40lb Sufix 832. Going to try some 3/16 oz T-Rigs

Got my 2020 tatula 103xh in the mail. It’s a sharp little reel , lm really digging to compact size over the previous models. I put it on a newly built point blank 662mxf, feels like a great combo. Now all I need is a decent warmer day to get out there with it and chuck some small keitechs.

I got one of these in a ebay lot this past fall and was impressed enough to want to go into spring with a few of them. I really like throwing the Spro rats but always find myself wanting something in between their 50 and 40 sizes.

I've heard really good things about this bait. Is it the old make or the new model? KeepingItReelFishing on YT went in depth on it. Let me know how they work out for you.

As part of wanting to be a better jig angler this year..I bought a couple of Bass Patrol Jigs and some Baby D Bombs for trailers. Heres one of them in PBJ with a green pumpkin purple trailer.

I like that color combo a lot, they should match the paint heads too.
