Pretty sweet, those ones come in much nicer packages. Are they just colors you can’t find here, or is there something else different about them.

Been eyeing this new swimbait (Davinci) for a while and after seeing some videos of its action I finally broke down figuring it's something most of the big girls haven't seen yet.

MB lures are no longer packaged in hard boxes. The VR (Viper Red) can still be found in Asian tackle shops, but the Gill Female (SP-C, special color) is no longer in production.

Picked up a Lew’s Super Duty w/ the flipping switch on sale to finally put on my heavy rod. Spooled with 65# braid

I'd be interested in hearing how these work for you

The bait looks good. It has a belly slot which is a plus. I rigged two samples with different hooks: Owner Twistlock Light 6/0 3/23oz(5167w-706) and Gamakatsu Weighted Superline(296415-3/16). I think the Owner was the better choice for the bait between the two. The Gammy just sunk the bait like a rock. There's actually more yellow coloration than my photo shows. The action is Meh. Not subtle. The paddle tail is bulky and the plastic is dense. I'm sure that makes it durable but in this case the bait needs to be fished fast to get the tail to kick. At that point the tail is really thumping, but not where the body of the bait is being wagged by the tail though, which is good IMO. However,  I'm not a big fan of these types of baits with hard thumping tails. I have much more success with one's that have a tighter tail kick, but especially at slower speeds like a Miyagi. That bait is way bulkier with much softer plastic and a smaller tail. The Megabass Hazedong Shad 4.2", which is more comparable in size to the Berkley, also has much softer plastic and a very tight tail kick at any retrieve speed. It's been is a super producer for me.

Time will tell though. I'll fish it and see. I don't have high hopes for it at my local spots as my luck in those places with harder thumping paddle tails is essentially nil.  But there's a lake near enough where yellow perch are a main forage species. Here the bait fish get pushed up into sandy bottomed shallows and the predators like lures fished fast. I've hammered them burning a 3" Shirauo Dark Sleeper marked up to look like a perch. But that bait also has a very tight tail kick...

I've got to stop following lure companies on Facebook. All it leads to is them dropping new colors and me spending more money.

I do love a brightly colored rat. What are you throwing all these rats on?

I had pre-ordered these over the winter.

Received them a month or so ago.

The advertised swimming action is real & 100% Mike Bucca.

Admittedly with the pre-spawn jerkbait bait being so hot here, I was hard pressed to throw anything else.

But with the post spawn comes the bluegill eaters, and I fully expect these little beauties to play a Big Role in putting fish in my net.

Did pump up the hardware some though, but I do that to most everything.

Wanted to check in with you to see if you did end up using these this year and if so how things went. Looking at possibly picking a few up myself.

What's the color name of that middle jerkbait? The Erie smallmouth would like me to order a few of them.

It's not elegy bone. That's my normal go-to smallmouth color on Erie.

The color he posted has more of a purple back, and it's missing the bone pattern on the sides.

Edit - I think it's the GP Tennessee Skeleton

Attended the Swimbait Universe event this weekend in VA. Got to meet the man Paul Smith face to face and pick up some of his Pizz Customs baits as well. Met a lot of other makers also. Kevin Lee of BGC,Mike Bucca, and a few more.

I have gotta unsub from this thread, I already have more swimbaits then I can reasonably fish, but the urge to get more is overpowering at times.

Try standing under a tent that has offerings from like 12 different makers. I was $450 lighter in under 2 minutes, and that’s not an exaggeration either. I got 2 Pizz baits. A bgc glide and the new 6” bull rat.

Hah, exactly.  I need to get out and lose some of the ones I already have to make some room.  I am still holding firm at "no single lure over $50", which makes it even sillier that I don't have the stones to fish them more aggressively.

This is my latest ebay haul, non of which has seen the water yet:

Would have loved to make it to that SU event. Someday when my kids are old enough to go with me and not tell mom about everything I buy maybe.
