Very nice and good fishing!

Ugh I just spent 110.00 on 3 muskie baits. If I didnt live by such a good fishery for them I wouldnt have to buy these fish sized lures lol. you may only need 2-3 rods to Ski fish, but where they get you is the bait. $30.00 bucktail, $40 plastic curly tail jerk x2 in 2 colors. I mean that's a decent rod, on 3 baits haha. Musky innovations want a lot of money for those alpha dawg pounders lol.

At this point im wondering if I have some type of impulsive shopping issue strictly with fishing lures/poles, and hockey sticks haha.

Maybe this thread should become a support group.

My name is Alex (room hi alex) and I am a slave to the lure companies haha. All it takes is another angler to simply talk up a lure or a simple youtube video and I black out end up at bass pro or cabelas, somehow regaining conscientious after my card is swiped. I have lure I havent even thrown yet!

Although, I suppose to be 28 and spending my money on fishing stuff, is probably better than what I see other people from my generation buying. They seem to really enjoy drugs haha! I played elite levels of hockey and soccer growing up, I dont smoke or drink, so I am probably still ahead of the partiers.

Well the bait monkey bit me hard this week. I purchased 3x Shimano Curado K's (all 3 gear speeds). 2x G Loomis Rods, a new tackle bag and stocked up on a few senkos and hooks.

How do you like the 6’10 ML? What do use it for and what do you have it paired up with? I have the 7’2 H and 6’10 MH. I really like them for jigs and Texas rigs.

Should be here Monday. My plan is ned rigs, weightless senkos and flukes, and light weight 1/16 oz t-rigs.

I just splurged on a few megabass dark sleepers and some small swimbaits for dropshotting. Not cheap but they make awesome stuff!

How do you like the Dark Sleepers? I have one but haven’t had much luck with it yet. Haven’t thrown it a ton either.

Well I sort of went crazy on my last purchase.  Dipped into the funds I had been saving for a new planer for my wood shop.  I guess the planer will have to wait another couple months because the 800 bucks I spent does not come easy.   I just ordered myself a couple new rods and reels from tackle warehouse.  Lost my Dobyns Sierra spinning rod to the depths on my last trip so it was time for me to re-up.  Because I liked that Dobyns Sierra rod so much for spinning.  I ordered 2 of them.  7ft medium fast and a 7ft medium light.  I also order 2 of the Diawa Tatula LT spinning reels in the 2000 size to go with the rods.  Ive never used any Diawa spinning reels so I though Id try something new.   All the hype for spinning reels continues to be aroun the CI4 but Im not one to follow the hype train.  Along with it Id ordered my self a few different colors of the Zman Fattyz and some Zman Power finesse Shroomz.

Oh man you could have saved ~$120.00 if you waited until tomorrow. I think that is when their July 4th sale starts.

Placed an order this evening and the discount was honored online even though it is not yet advertised on their website.

Well, I previously posted a pic of 5 new War Eagle copper spinnerbaits.

Then I was paid another visit by the monkey. He whispered in my ear, "Buy more copper blades, they're discontinued. Get more of the clear copper peach skirts. And different sizes, too."

Then the little beggar stole my credit card and went wild.

But then he started ordering new outfits. You can't trust the bait monkey !!!!!!!

Ever throw the one with the red kicker blade?  I ordered a couple to replace some red river tackle spinnerbaits that featured a flo red kicker blade.  They are my bread and butter slow rolled in prespawn.

Picked up a slightly used 873c ccr nrx. It’s so light and feels great in the hand, not really sure what it’s best use for me will be as I rarely fish a Carolina rig. But I feel it’s action will be great for any bottom contact bait.

That is one impressive selection of War Eagle spinnerbaits! Have you ever thrown the war eagle double Colorado wake blade spinnerbaits? They have two truly massive blades and they absolutely rattle your hand when you slow roll them. They are made to wake but I’ve caught more when slow roll them around wood and over grass.

Enjoy! Used a 3/8 dark sleeper last weekend and had great success on it. I’d throw right behind my father in law who was throwing a wacky rig or his Zoom sand colored lizard. I’d say more than half the time, I’d get the fish that kept playing with his emotions lol

Took advantage of the sale items and free shipping from Siebert Outdoors and bought things I wanted to buy anyways so I think that's putting one over on the monkey, Then again he got his revenge by watching me try to choose among the many tasty skirt combos so we'll call it a wash and move on.

Well, I really wanted a 7" white slammer, but the one I finally found was a 9" so I went for it anyways. The 9" Slammer is WAY bigger than a 7" Slammer.

I'm a big fan of the Sub-Walk too. Why do you change out the hooks?
