I've been using a Mega Sexy Dawg as my poor man's Punker. The 6" Punker walks terrible and I don't want to give a kidney for a used wooden 8" Punker. If you're looking for large walk-the-dog baits there are plenty of options in the musky world starting at 6" on up. Weagle, one-eyed willy, jackpot, etc.  1 Quote

Super User Cgolf Posted April 20, 2019 Super User Posted April 20, 2019 Gonna switch back to a lurker on the site for awhile but figured I should share this score thanks to the sale thread DSG and Lurenet’s specials page. All this for 84 plus or minus some change. Apparently I am all in on the Ploppers 75, they better work good lol. 9 Quote
CrankFate Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Finally. My last Ali Express order. These fake dark sleepers smell like plastic and used motor oil. I should probably get a few real ones in this size. 2 Quote

Saw those on sale 15-20 or so years ago and bought every single one. I thought they stopped making them back then! I still have a bunch of them. But strangely only caught smallmouths on them. I don’t know why? Quote

punch Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Giving the new Outkast ned heads a whirl this year. My buddy Josh Douglas designed them. They have some subtle differences from most of the ned heads. Can't wait to give 'em a whirl for smallies & walleyes this year.  6 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 22, 2019 Global Moderator Posted April 22, 2019 10 packs of green pumpkin and watermelon Powerbait Maxscent "The General" worms at Wal-Mart this morning for $1.50 a pack, score! 4 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted April 22, 2019 Super User Posted April 22, 2019 Local tackle dealer had a hot ad with Seagar Smackdown for 17.99 a spool. Â That'l work. Also found some Keitech Fats 3.8 in good colors for under five bucks. I'm set. Quote
Ksam1234 Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Brand new ! Shimano Zodias rod , omg this thing is light weight and sensitive , feels like tremors going down the rod , can’t wsit to truly test it out this week. Using it for jigs , T rigs and spinnerbaits. 8 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 23, 2019 Super User Posted April 23, 2019 You will LOVE the Zodias!!! What reel are you pairing it with? 1 Quote
ItsHardwick Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 You will absolutely love the zodias. I bought my first one about 2 months ago and now I have 4. The newest 2 just came in a couple days ago. 1 Quote

I’m thinking the quantum’s PT smoke or the quantum pro tour performance. I don’t reslly like the Shimano reels sadly.. lews and quantum reels are my thing.  Plus the grey, black and red on the smoke would look sick with the Zodias @jbsoonerfan 2 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 24, 2019 Super User Posted April 24, 2019 A Quantum or Lew's on a Shimano stick  Just kidding, that Smoke would look good on there. 1 2 Quote

gilkeybr Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 The first hard bait I was ever taught to fish with was a Rapala Rattlin' Rap in Silver/Blue. Since catching my early fish on that lure, that color combination has always had a special place in my fishing heart.  When I saw this color, I knew I had to get one. Its like the ol' Silver/Blue taken to the extreme. Very cool 6 Quote
