I LOVE those ISV lipless cranks! Wish they weren't so darn expensive though.

My Lew's Carbon Speed Stick spinning rod, that recently broke, got replaced today. I bought a Daiwa Laguna 6'6" MF spinning rod to pair with the Lew's SSG300 Speed Spin reel that is still in great shape. Wasn't really what I wanted to get for that reel, but it was affordable and they match in color. The guides are a little bigger than I wanted and after a few practice casts in the yard it seems to be ok. Can't wait to fish with it for a true test. Also bought some 6" and 4" Strike King KVD Perfect Plastics Ochos in green pumpkin because we are clearancing them out. Got 2 packs of each size. They were only $1.58 each with my discount at work. The rod was only $23.99 with my discount. Wish I woulda had more extra cash to have gotten more, but these will do for now. ?

I've become a big fan of the Kaera frog, and when the JDM sites finally got a restock on the more fun colors, I had to pounce

Hah, I am on a massive-size stickbait kick myself.  I have a pack of 7” senkos and 7” BPS stickos on deck for testing next week!

Check out Magnum Baits, they've got a 10" stickbait that's pretty absurd lol. I got a pack to try and even fishing it on my jig rod weightless (7/0 Owner Jungle EWG) it feels too heavy.

Today I couldn't help myself, had to get the bone Whopper Plopper 90. It's been calling me for a while now...lol. Also got another pack of Sixth Sense Peg X Stoppers and a pack of Gamakatsu 7/O EWG Monster worm hooks for my 10.5" and 12" Ol' Monsters and Mann's Jelly Worms. Gonna try out all my new stuff Friday morning. I'm off tomorrow and Friday, but I've worked 7 straight days. Not really used to that, so I'm relaxing tomorrow to be ready for Friday bass fishing. ?

Last week when I went out west (Alberta) for a family event. I picked up a huge score on Kijiji, For those not familiar it's basically Craig's list with PayPal. For $30 USD, I got 2 Flambeau waterproof lure cases which are perfect for kayak trips. Now for the baits, the guy had a huge bag of rapalas, so I grabbed what I had confidence in or which straight up looked like good baits. Which lead me to get 4 BX Swimmer 12s, 4 Xraps jerkbaits, 2 xrap shads crankbaits and a shadow rap shad deep. They should all do wonders for northerner pike up here, the lmb love the shadow raps. I replaced the hooks on all of them to Mustad KVD triple grip trebles.

I hit up Cabela's last night to pick up some hooks for the rapalas above, disappointed they don't carry odd size hooks at all. No 3 or 5 size. I supplemented with 4 and 6 size, upsizing didn't seem like a good idea although I'll pay close attention to the action with the lighter options. I picked up 2 packs of Rage Tails, summer craw and my fav bama craw, 2 hack attack 1/2 oz jigs, both were green pumpkin, one with purple flake and the other has a bit of red, Gammy offset ewg worm hooks and a pack of daiwa neko fat worms. First time I'll be casting a worm... Ever. Tight lines.

Went to get my oil change and decided to walk into DSG while waiting. Walked out with 8 packs of pit bosses since they had buy 6 get two free. If they had 8 more packs of the colors I like I probably would have bought more.

Discount tackle order came in; I had to start up a stash of NED rig stuff.  Can't wait to try it out.  Thought the coppertreuse color looked interesting.

Nice setup! What was the price on the rod and where do you get it?
