Well I went to Academy today looking for some Zoom Centipedes, no luck. However, I did pick up some of these.

Zoom 10" Ol' Monsters in junebug red and some 6" Zoom Ultravibe Speed Worms in green pumpkin. Hoping to try them out tomorrow or at least soon.

Picked up 2 (2-$20) whopper ploppers at Dicks.   On the way home stopped by one of the ponds I fish to check out what the hoopla is all about.  About 10 casts in got me a new personal best - 5.44lbs.

Wow. Awesome.

Whopper Plopper is my favorite lure.

Picked up some 40# Daiwa J-braid x8. The 40 has the same diameter as 50# 832. Time to find out what this stuff is made of as ill be pitching heavy cover and lots of stumps with it.

I have been seeking the Zoom Centipede in Wal Mart, Academy and Holloway here in Pineville and Alexandria, La. with no luck. Finally went to Louisiana Archery today, for the first time, and found them. Got me a pack! Now I recall, in a different post and topic, @Catt recommended fishing them Carolina rigged. I have a question. I know in a Carolina rig the worm or soft plastic is Texas rigged. My question is, how do you Texas rig a centipede? I ask because they have an awkward kind of look to them. As you can see in the pics below. Please show a pic of it so I  can see what it looks like. Thanks in advance for all the helpful knowledge you've given me thus far.

After I sold my gears that I rarely use and wanted to go different direction on the stuff.

Those have arrived at my door ready to be adopted. I still have few parts coming in (96mm handles for on three baitcasters)

did the monkey get me ?

I got a few more jigs from Seibert Outdoors, 3 arky's, 1 sniper jig, and 1 g2 derocker football jig. I love the arky's but wanted to try out something new, so  I grabbed a sniper jig and that g2 football jig.

Siebert's Dock Rocker is a great alternative to the arky style jig!

St. Croix Mojo Bass MJC74HF (Heavy/Fast 7' 4") rod, Lew's SD1XHL reel, and PowerPro 65# braid. "Sweet setup"! I used it for the first time yesterday and the time on the water went TOO FAST!

He made his way back to my place. I've experienced a brutal beatdown from him the past 24 hours and I'll be back with pics of more things than I needed when they arrive next week. :punch-2:

I must say though, I underestimated that 8" WRS. Looking at the side view of them in pictures they don't look particularly bulky for their length. Let me tell you though that thing rivals an 8" hudd for shear bulk. It's deceptively wide.

Well, here's the first delivery of my Black Friday in August binge. I finally started throwing jerkbaits this past year and figured it was about time to get a dedicated setup. Also, strangely never had a Wiggle Wart.

Well, as usual...  I go looking for one thing and talk myself into a completely different deal.  Bait Monkey strikes again!

Was looking for a lighter swimbait rod that could also handle big jigs and the occasional inshore duty and came across the following gem:  a 7'11" Shimano Crucial (green blank, full cork) MH/F swimbait casting rod for $99 BNIP.  She's a smidge lighter than I was originally looking for, but 1-3oz is actually pretty ideal for what my actual (read: not internet delusions of grandeur) life intentions for this rod will call for and I know for a fact I love the Crucial handles and blanks.

I just got confirmation on shipping and it should even get here before I leave Sunday for a 3 day fishing trip out on horseneck at a friend's grandfathered-in shack out past the state beach.  No running water, no electricity, lots of beer and lots of boating, fires on the sand and my most pressing decision being which Alchemist or Lawson's brew to sip on next.  It's been years since a legit "me" vacation.  I cannot wait.

Well...I got a $25 gift card from my manager today as thanks for presenting in our department's business review. Ended up at DSG to just "look". Walked out with 2 Yo Zuri Sashimi Shad, similar to these.

2 for $5 bucks each.....why not? Though, Im hoping they perform as well as they are colored!

Stopped by Cabelas today to look for sales.

bought 3 Whopper Ploppers and of course had to have a new baitcasting combo for the whopper Ploppers.

ended up costing me $160.00.

Living 5 minutes from Cabelas can be expensive.

As soon as I have the extra cash and the patience to wait for something I've already paid for, I'm gonna order me some of Siebert Outdoors' jigs. Wanna get me some of those custom jigs.

For custom, it sure doesn't take him long to get them out. I get mine faster than I would if it was an amazon order. I think it was 5 or 6 days from the time I ordered until they were in the mailbox.

Get a chatterbait to, while you're at it, those things are awesome!

That's really good to know. I'll check out the chatterbaits as well.
