I caught a lot of fish using the Rage Bug like a hollow body frog over pads and stuff. Weird, but it worked great that way. Weightless T-Rigged.

I will have to give that a try, certain parts of my local lake gets thick enough with weeds it is difficult to get through with the trolling motor, over top of that stuff might be good.

@Columbia Craw Sorry to hear you're having some trouble getting around Doug.

Hope you're still able to get out on the water.

Picked up a bunch of stuff today.  Sickle hook standup heads in 1/8 & 1/4 for the big uptons, also a few gliding jigs, another tube of megastrike, a brown CL8 Mighty Mouse (been wanting one for a while!), a few soft plastics to supplement my shakey arsenal and a few disc golf discs ?

Well I fished the combo and it was nice and smooth, everything I expected from it.  Will let you all know about the drag performance when I catch a fish on it.

One thing I now know...I like the feel of glass over graphite or any other blank when fishing spinnerbaits and crankbaits.  So if you're in the Greater Toronto Area, feel free to contact me as the Daiwa Tatula pictured earlier is for sale at $100.00 Canadian and comes with a Rod Glove cover.

Cheers.

Just Received another Curado 70 XG that I placed as Buy it Now on Ebay for $103 plus FREE shipping.

That seller had good marks on it until that week where he was getting bad reviews lately. Saying that they never gotten their items or was marked as shipped but not received it.  Today, I got a email from the post office that I worked saying that my item arrived.

You bet that I dropped everything to run over there to pick it up. I was little baffled at first since the box was from "Cabelas". I opened the box which contains the Shimano Curado 70, Looked at the invoice which was marked at $199.

Did I just make a semi-killing score there on ebay and got this from Cabelas ?

Nice kit. I'm a drummer also. I've been playing for almost 33 years. Drums are what got me away from fishing at the age of 13. Now that I'm 45, be 46 in a few months, fishing has taken over my extra curricular activities. What kind of kit is that?

Wow, 33 years, so you know how it goes - never stop learning or figuring things out.  It's been almost 40 years for me.  Some things still baffle me.

I finally let this one go.  I was offered more than I payed for it.  I had for 17 years, was time to let it go.  Black Badge DW Collectors Series, born in Feb. 2000.  Early John Good shells, not Keller.  They're on 6 records, and I still love their sound, but I was ready for something different.

Here's a pic of us being stupid before a show.  New kit is a Masterworks, in order L-R: 10 popcorn snare, 13, 10, 12, 8, 16, 15, 20 bass, Gretsch USA snare with Dunnett hoops and throw-off.  Dream Bliss/Vintage Bliss cymbals, Pearl rack system, Tama Speed Cobra pedals.

13439129_1747844582161333_89377555485610

Small club setup, without the rack:

Even smaller setup I use when we're writing new stuff.  Even though I use a big kit, everything is centered around the groove and these drums.  Once I have things down, I expand on the melodies with the extra stuff.

This is the kit I have. A Pearl Export Series 5 piece 12" and 13" rack Tom's 18" floor Tom 22" kick drum and a 13" Dixon piccolo snare. DW3000 double kick pedal, Zildjian and Sabian cymbals. This is the only pick I have right now from back in 2000 when the band I was with opened up for Godsmack at Malibu Alley in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. I'm a metalhead...lol. Nowadays I would rather be fishing!

I've got a tournament on Erie this weekend so I stopped by my local F&S. Does anyone know if these are good baits for smallmouth?

I got a few more jigs from Seibert Outdoors, 3 arky's, 1 sniper jig, and 1 g2 derocker football jig. I love the arky's but wanted to try out something new, so  I grabbed a sniper jig and that g2 football jig.

Also I have to try out the ned rig on my spin setup!

I'd post a picture if I could. Picked up some Rage Bugs in blue bug,1/4oz tungsten worm weights,4/0 Owner Jungle hooks and a 3/8oz punch rig in devil craw from @Siebert Outdoors. Once again, thanks for the great products Mike.

Picked up 2 (2-$20) whopper ploppers at Dicks.   On the way home stopped by one of the ponds I fish to check out what the hoopla is all about.  About 10 casts in got me a new personal best - 5.44lbs.
