Just bought a shad colored chatterbait, a couple finesse jigs, a few packs of pit bosses, some chatterbait trailers, and some yamamoto twin tailed grubs. Hoping to fish chatterbaits and jigs a little more this coming season, and checking out pit bosses since a lot of people on here have said great things about them.

@TxHawgs based off your posts in the past few weeks. You have a nice budget. Lol.

Lol, now I get it. I had to look up the definition of budget. And I only wish this was true lol.

Pt1.

Bass fishermen don't buy what we need! We buy to be prepared if "this" scenario happens. 1 time in our lives we were not prepared...so we buy what we didn't have "that one time" for when it happens again.  But it never happens again. Lmbo!

Pt2

Bait monkey attack! Anyone know who made these for Dicks/Field&Stream?

Can you please let me know how you like the elite. I have a tec spec black and love it and I was looking at getting a elite for a jig rod

Daiwa Laguna for 44 on Amazon and Berk big game backing line from the TW 25 days sale. Hoping this reel will be a workhorse for years. Liked the way the one we bought my father in law fished, time will tell.

The Laguna is a great reel. I have 4 of them. I have one in use and 3 as backups for when the 1st one wears out. From the looks of it, that will take a while.

> Yum 6¼” Swurm - sugar & spice   (soft jerkbaits)

> Gambler 5” Big EZ – alewife    (soft swimbaits)

> Mustad 5/0 Grip-Pin Flipping Hook  (Rebarb – conical – 32 grains – 0.068” wire)

       (I’ve never found a hook that retains a trailer as well as this Denny Brauer hook)

Just stopped by Bass Pro for no reason at all and ended up with this junk. :lol: I know I swore I wasn't needing this gimmick lure. But the employees at Bass Pro had some crazy convincing skills well I had a weak moment more likely.

At least you got the 130 and not the 90

Just ordered 3 spools of line and upgraded 3 spinning reels. Wife got me a new Duckett 7-0 medium heavy for Christmas. I don't have it as bad as y'all but I'm getting there. I'm trying out the Vicious XACT line. Had a guide rave about it.

The Plopper not supposed to be junk. I bought one too. Got it just a little too late this fall.

It better not be literally junk. It cost me $15. Haha But I have heard opinions both ways. I figured it would catch fish and in some of the places I go It could be the ticket.

You do like some roboworm.

I prefer the bigger 10" n 12" worms.

Can't go wrong with a Loon colored 130 plopper. Stick with it and you should get some nice ones.

Well ya know what they say Go Big or go home. :hahaha-024:  Anyway I had seen a few comments that the 90 was a little finicky at times for some to work properly. But I do pretty much only hunt for big LMB so most of my lures are on the bigger side.

They flat out catch bass. A great alternative to when the buzz bait won't work and vice versa.

Went on a little JDM rampage the other day;

5aOcta3l.jpg

I love the Decoy jigs, they work great for grubs, small paddle tails, and weedless Ned Rigs.  I prefer them to the Owner Ultraheads as I feel the vertical line tie helps me keep it just off the bottom.  The weights are to make up some Jika Rigs with straight shank hooks.  And the tail spin lure was just to funny looking to pass up.  I like to keep a few "loud" lures on hand for when I am really skunked.

Annoyingly, JDM rods don't come with hook keepers.  I don't like the fiji ones as they will not let you hook a buried point t-rig on them.  These do, but I swear they looked more red and less pink online.

This is the second time I have ordered Keitech plastics not realising how small they will be.  These will go into the pile with the 3-4 packs of 2" Impacts I bought last year.  Maybe I will devote more time to panfishing this year.  In anycase, it looks like they also sell a 3.5" MadWag, and that looks more like what I want.

The reason for the overseas order, a Zillion SV TW XXH.  It was somehow cheaper, even with shipping, to order from over there.  I have the reel mounted on this guy;

And man, I cannot wait to be able to hit the water.

Spro has been a good bait for me.  I fish the Little John which is the size of a 1.5 It is a flat as well as the Fat John 60. It is the size of a 2.5 and flat.

The Spro Little John Baby DD and the Little John DD are larger medium/deep divers. Depending on what you call deep.  Ranging from 9-15 feet deep.  They have flatter sides too.

The Fat Pappa 55 and the Fat Pappa 70 are normal side divers in the 9-15 feet range.

The Rock Crawlers have a wider wobble and dive around 5-9 feet.  They hunt and have a wobble like the old Pre-Rapala wiggle warts have.  Great baits for Pre-Spawn like the wiggle warts.  I crank quick to get them down then slow roll them back to the boat.

I throw Spro cranks most of the time.  The exception is SK cranks.  Especially the 1.5 square bills.  They hunt like warts and are killer for me.  I also mix in 3XD and 6XD SK divers.

New 100MM basszone carbon handle to replace the 80mm on a steez sv i bought recently.  Really nice looking handle, knobs are squishy kind of rubber.  But it did take about FOREVER for it to get here from Thailand.  I think it took a vacation around New York for 2 weeks while it was "held up in customs"!

First pick of 8 bags of Lime Purple Passion was from Gander Mountain.

Second pic was a stop at Academy. The XCaliburs were only $1.98 ea on clearance. I never had a lure retriever so after losing a crankbait last year I really liked I figured it was time to try one.
