I'm blaming this on Bassresource.com when the wife comes at me with a fry'n pan.......I took this pic 2 hours ago, I had to go help my mother and on the way home I stopped at a tackle shop near her house. Now there are 2 Strike King 2.5's (chili craw)  added to the collection that are not pictured. The St. Croix is 20 miles away at the Fed-Ex terminal, be here tomorrow. And the Lews Get'r back lure retriever will be here next week. Guess I will be sling'n crank baits in 2017 just got to make myself lay the jig rod down.

Today my girlfriend surprised me and took me to bass pro to pick out my Christmas gift instead of getting something that I didn't like and having to return it I chose a 7'10" MH/M Abu Garcia Ike cranking stick

That is pretty awesome. I had some nice gifts purchased for the GF as well. She had some for me but as of a few days ago we are no longer a thing. Guess I will be exchanging her gifts and just using the funds to order a few fishing related things to get me by.

I participated in a secret santa in another group. I received my package today. Can't be mad about that one bit.

I like the look of those Megabass worms.

I tried to go river fishing today but it was too cold and the water too turbid, but I did catch some tackle on the way home.

I realized the other day that other then some z-man ones for panfish, I had never really fished a grub and that wouldn't do.  The 4" Ocho worms are the best four inch stickbait that I have found in terms of action and they are thin enough to rig on the 1/0 twistlocks I like to use for my light river tackle.  The jerkbait is just to build up my arsenal a bit and they are the cheapest ones I have found that actually suspend in a meaningful way.  My new "plan" is to fish a jerkbait until I catch on it or lose it every trip until I figure them out.

I picked this 7'3" Heavy H2O XPRESS™ Ethos Nano Casting Rod up yesterday.

It was on clearance and I had a lonesome reel that matched the blue so well it was like it was meant to be.

Those Fat Alberts are the bomb. I use them more than any other grub. I bought a bunch when my local Wallyworld put them on sale. They also make good spinner bait trailers.

I've developed over the past few months a sickening addiction to $25 Megabass Ito Vision 110 jerkbaits. It's maybe a matter of confidence or imagination, but when I tie on other brands, I don't catch as much. It all started when I was dazzled by a Sexy French Pearl at Dick's. Now it's my disease.

My latest treasures include a Daiwa Revros 2500, the three Rio Rico Blems from the tacklewarehouse sale, 6 packs of Owner treble replacement hooks with the eye turned the right way (thanks J Francho), and one Norman Scorpion off of Amazon just because I love the concept. I have a lake in mind that gets super weedy that I caught a decent bass this year on a Johnson's Silver Minnow spoon trying to find something to throw, I think the Scorpion could do well in that situation. Or considering that they didn't sell and have no reviews it might be a dud...

@rippin-lips are you too good for our secret santa?? LOL just kidding, you got a nice haul on that one, and those bobbit worms are really cool

@kickerfish1 are those "legit" Ricos or the blemished ones that TW just had on sale? I bought 3 of the blems and almost chose the exact same colors as you - john murray bass, blue/chartreuse, and lightning shad
