How's the knot strength of Gliss? Heard varying reports down under about it.

It's very thin, so you have to take care and pay attention to the knot and do a solid check of the knot after it's been tied, but once a good knot is tied and cinched down well, the knots hold great.

Sold my Aldebaran 50 and just got the replacement (HG model) in, along with a Gantarel Jr

I had $80 built up on my business Discover card rewards, which allowed me to get $100 worth of BPS gift cards.  I ended up using them to replenish a few things as well as order a few items I had wanted to try.

Sorry for the upside down picture, I can't get it rotated

I stumbled across these things while looking for bigger inline spinners and was intrigued enough to order a couple, one in 3/8 and one in 1/4.1024162039.jpg

Those look really cool. For bigger inline spinners check out Terminator

I got a Terminator also, and a Panther Martin "WeedRunner" that is very similar. Back in the slop where I fish out of the kayak I think those (the weedless inlines) could really produce in the open spots where I'd normally bring a frog across or drop in a Senko.

those do look intriguing!!  the panther martin inline spinner is one of my favorite all around all species baits.  the black/yellow body with the gold blade will catch anything swimming!  might have to scoop one or two of these banshees up!

My mailman was busy this week. 3 Pflueger President baitcasters, an Okuma Helios and Helios TCS, and a new spool for my 200B Calcutta. Should have a new Fish30acre Dirty Shad and Do-it Ned rig mold next week.

Hey Clayton, I'd love to hear a review on those Presidents once you get a chance to use them.

I've got quite a bit of use on them now since I have 4 and all but one of them jumped straight into the starting lineup. They've been very impressive so far. Very smooth and solid feeling and they cast a mile. I've been using 1 to fish a Whopper Plopper 90 and it will launch one out of sight, which has been important in the clearer water I've been fishing them in. I used one for flipping a little when I first got them and it did just fine there as well. They also come with some nice rubber/silicone grip covers (although the grips are fine by themselves). I think they're going to be exactly what I'd hoped for (and what the spinning version is already known as), a dependable, workhorse type reel. I've become pretty biased towards Pfluegar though I guess. I've sold nearly all my Shimano reels and bought Pfluegar or Okuma and been very happy with the decision. My only gripe so far, they only come in a 7.3:1 retrieve speed. Most of the smallmouth in this video were caught on it.

i went a little "hawg wild" on some handle purchases here lately!  These 3 are for a curado 51e, core 51mg7 and aldebaran mg7.  The one with the cork knobs is going on the curado.

Drove a silly distance out of my way home from a trip to visit Susquehanna Fishing Tackle.  Living in a saltwater-dominated area, a bass-focused store is overwhelming.  I made the mistake of handling the new CI4+ spinning reels, now trying to figure out how to swing replacing all my spinning combos with them.

This weekend was a big weekend for me. Put up the peg board and organized what I could with the few pegs I had to make room for the new boat (new to me). My first boat and I couldn't be any happier.

stopped by Dick's the other day and they had buy 5 clearance items get 5 free as well as 50% off the clearance fishing clothing.  i snagged the only 9 terminator t1's they had left at $8.97 so less than $5 each and a 300yd spool of 20lb power pro along with a Huk t shirt, huk long sleeve shirt and a long sleeve columbia pfg shirt.  all that for $95!

i gave 2 of the T1's to a buddy of mine for borrowing his pressure washer so i still have 7 for myself.  to be the best spinnerbait i can think of, they have the WORST packaging of any product on the shelves!  every one of these had the plastic front separating from the cardboard backing.

I love Susquehanna Fishing Tackle. They're about 2 and a half hours from where I live and every spring I put them on my tackle tour. Start at Cabela's, then to BPS, over to SFT and the long trip to Wacky Worm in the Poconos and back home. SFT is a great shop and worth the trip.

Just got 3 new Lew's in. 2 Tournament Lite G's and a Tournament MB, all with the 95mm carbon fiber handle added on.

I put the MB on my E6X crankbait rod, a Lite on my IMX topwater/jerkbait rod (both are replacing my old MG's) and the other Lite is waiting for a home :)

I finally pulled the trigger on a hudd 68 ROF 5 and threw in a few swimjigs to replace the ones I lost this season to complete the order.

Yesterday evening I fished a Missile Baits D-Bomb for the first time. At 5:15 I caught an 8 pound bass. At nine PM I ordered 50 more D-Bombs.
