Those Rebel Craws look custom painted.  They're a great bait!  These were one of my primary baits that I trolled for smallmouth on Lake Ontario.  They're equally effective on deep, rocky shoals.  Something about that lip dessign really allows it to dig in, at decent speeds.

i had detective @whitwolf on the case!  he found out they were made my rebel and then painted my megabass as some sort of marketing ploy by rebel to sell more of the craw style crankbaits.

Really can't describe how awesome they look in person, the camera/lightning seem to totally take away from what the eye can see!

Dick's Sporting Good and Bass Pro Shops (on fishing stuff) are both running free shipping right now on no minimum purchase! (The bait monkey made me do it.) Figured I'd check out the YUM Genie worm with some Owner shaky head jigs.

Man these things seem rather popular for their price tag, I've seen a few pop up in this thread. I don't blame you though, they look amazing.

I bought a lure retriever today, finally... If I bought one 3 or 4 10XD's ago I'd be happier!

I also bought a crawfish trap so I can match my lures to the color of the crawfish.

For fly fishing, I was able to score a spool of SI Sonar line ($80) for like $22 in the bargain cave at cabela's. I also bought some 16lb leaders and 16lb tippet for my 8 weight so I can reel in some nice sized bass without as much fear of line breaking.

these are actually one of my favourite swimbaits. i have had success on them with bass and pike. what i really love is that it will stand on bottom because of the design LC hit that one right

Finally pulled the trigger on the first half of my river smallie set up. Got a St. Croix Legend Elite 7' Light Power Fast Action. Right now going to pair it with a Sahara 1000 until I can get a Ci4 1000 around Christmas. Hoping to put this baby to good use when it comes in next week.

Yesterday was a good day for cranking!  I scored a big lot of "used" baits even though most appear to be new or barely used.  Damiki crankbaits DC 200/300/400, Megabass bait x's and some megabass rebel craws. Anybody know anything about these MB rebel craws?  They have some awesome paint jobs, the pics don't do them justice at all!

also waiting on me was my avail microcast spool for my curado 101b.  it's not a really shallow spool much more so than the stock and incredibly lightweight too in comparison.  Should make that reel is a sweet little unit for crankbaits!

you scored on those Damiki DC's !! i'm gonna get some of those soon !!! let me know if you end up wanting to get rid of some of the DC200's .....

Just as Alexczarn's scenario I purchased a SG 3d line thru trout as a filler. Had a gift card to use and ordered a curado 70 and to use up the rest of card tossed in some Gliss 40# and the trout. Card had $170 on it total was a little over $169

Recent acquisitions

Some Reels: a spinning patriarch on sale from Cabelas, a Tatula 100 on sale from ***, and a third one I can't discuss:

OCT2016Reels.jpg

Two rods, a 7' Aetos medium spinning, and an older HMX 7'0" Heavy MF. They have that one listed as telescopic, but it's not, as I had suspected after looking up the model number:

OCT2016rods.jpg

Aetos+Patriarch, together at last for about $250, shipped (A particularly aesthetically-pleasing combo I have wanted for awhile):

And...it's not a new purchase, but Fenwick also sent me this 7'5" MH-F new gen Aetos caster on a warranty claim for a last-gen Aetos that I got in their recent online summer clearance sale, and managed to break by hitting a table after having it only month. Yes, you heard that right: I bought an older model on clearance, broke it, probably my fault, and they replaced it with a new model, just-released and more expensive, free of charge:

Tell me more about this fancy looking line.

On the topic of thin line, I just picked up some YGK G-Soul Upgrade X-8 Braided Line in 14lb, and boy is this stuff thin.  It is hard to get a good grip on to tie knots, it's crazy.  I was able to get 200m of it onto the spool of my PX68, this might be a very expensive backlash.

But if this line works it will be an amazing finesse line.  I am excited to try it on my finesse spinning rig this summer.

It's awesome on spinning tackle. Cast a mile and is extremely thin. Tough to tie knots though, and it does kind of unravel or something like that after awhile but I like it for what I use it for. Wouldn't personally use it on casting gear but some do and like it.

How's the knot strength of Gliss? Heard varying reports down under about it.
