Well let's see, this weekend I purchased some shakey heads, some tube inserts,  stick bait jig heads, senkos/shim-e-sticks, rage tail craws in pumpkin seed, a new rattle trap, some zoom chunks in pumpkinseed, and up just placed an order for 9 kvd 1.5s and some quick drop drop shot weights on TW.

I really need to find a good variety pack of tubes and senkos as my local walmart doesn't have much in color or size selection.

i just got the rod.  It's a Phenix Recon 2 683c.  It's a ML casting rod.  I have it spooled up with 8# yozuri hybrid right now.  I like it so far!

Berkley Trilene Professional Grade Braid (40lb) [Low-Vis Green] - My first ever braided line... for my dedicated Jig combo (the above rod paired with an Abu Garcia Orra SX2 Baitcaster. I decided on 40lb, because I wanted the 10lb dia. (The combo may also be used for Frogs, Swim Jigs, Bladed Jigs, & medium sized Swimbaits.)

Scored a good deal on a new Megabass Orochii xx Diablo Spec R. On one of the big commercial sellers on that auction site I sent an offer than was lowballing them pretty good (they were trying to sell it for MRSP) and sure enough they accepted $240 w/free shipping so Im stoked!

Scooped up a Cabela's Tournament ZX Crankshaft (7' medium) and some Eco Pro tungsten weights (1/8 and 3/16 oz) today. It's snowing in MI so I'll have to wait a little while longer to get them wet.

Out of curiosity what set up do you use as your frog rod/reel?

I use a 7'3" 13 'Envee' black HXF and Lew's BB1 Pro with 40# Smackdown.  The only change I'd make is to swap the Lew's for an Exsence DC but that's more of a "someday" than a need.  Killer rig.

Picked up some 1/8oz Gamakatsu Round Head hooks that have a longer shank and look stronger than the Strike King ones that I've been using. Also saw some YUM Dingers with the F2 Ferocity... I grabbed all they had.

Do you like the yum dingers? Was catching fish all day today on the strike king shim-e-sticks in watermelon red flake. Ran out and switched to yum dingers in the same color, not even a nibble. Friend showed up with more shim-e-sticks in that color and started catching again.

Honestly, I currently have very limited experience with stick baits as I started using them last year. I've caught fish on the Yum Dinger so I know they work. The last time I remember using them - I was struggling to get a bite, but later discovered the bait had a strong smell of gasoline (The bait somehow came in contact with it while I was fishing in the boat). So... It's a bait I still need to fish more to have a opinion of it.
