Super User fishwizzard Posted March 13, 2016 Super User Posted March 13, 2016 Hit basspro on the way home from the airport. They didn't have most of what I was looking for, so I escaped without too much damage.  The Z-Mans I actually bought months ago, but just rediscovered them in my car. The senkos are actually the first I have ever bought, not sure why I never picked up a pack before. I got the hooks to use with them.  My girlfriend has expressed an interest in fishing, so I wanted to get her some easy to fish and productive baits.   The Jelly Worms are just to add to my little collection of big ol worms. 5 Quote
JayP Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Well here goes nothin. My first post on bass resource lol. My latest trip to the local tackle shop ended with a number. 8 tackel hellbent 6'6" med fast (very good so far for $50) paired with a 6.61 *** reel, 10lb floro and a megabass 110. 5 Quote

Big bass love 'em. Quote
Super User fishwizzard Posted March 14, 2016 Super User Posted March 14, 2016 I am pretty excited to get out and try the large worms. I am mostly a finesse guy but I am going to start trying to learn a few heavy styles. Oh, and since bass pro didn't have the line I came in for, I may have made a small TW order last night. I also may have hit up ebay looking for a computer cable but stumbled on the Powerteam Lures store, where they had a very good price on some mis-colored tubes. The first friend I can convince to take up fishing is going to make out like a bandit with all the extras I will dump on them. 1 Quote

Super User buzzed bait Posted March 15, 2016 Super User Posted March 15, 2016 it had been a few weeks since i bought any tackle but, i got suckered into a few purchases last night.... the LC's were on sale at cabela's and they had some colors i wanted, so that happened...  then dropped by Dick's and missile d bombs were buy 1 get 1 half off as were the LC hardbaits so i got a couple back ups.  the trokar worm hooks are pricey, but i love them.  was able to pick up the 2 packs for $5 total so that softened the blow.  5 Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted March 15, 2016 Author Super User Posted March 15, 2016 Grabbed some keitech tungsten mono guard jigheads in 3/32oz, some tungsten j-heads in 1/12oz and two more of those cool Ecogear ZX vibe craws, one in 35mm/Crawdad and one in 40mm/Mantis Shrimp.   The ML setup is going to be working the bottom so hard this year.      Quote
boostr Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 This is my Bait Monkey, and Electronics Gorilla haul for the new season. It's not alot of stuff but it did cost alot. Had to cut back on the bar hopping to be able to pay for this. The Penn Fierce II and the Penn Prevail will be for my new endevour, Surf fishing. The Lew's is Super Duty for punching mats, and some Inshore fishing. The Tuff Baits at the bottom right are made localy and the used a repurposed Slim Jim wrapping machine to package them. Plus they were cheap cause I got them at the Fishing and Outdoors Expo this past weekend. 3 Quote
Burtonxj Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Had the day off today so I figured I'd head up to Bass Pro to pick up a couple packs of jelly worms since I've never used em before. Ended up with no jelly worms and a Stradic. So weak. 7 Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 16, 2016 Super User Posted March 16, 2016 At least now most of the water around me is iced out, so I can start using all this stuff, but here's a few more goodies.   " but, Shane, what are you ever gonna throw those big old baits on?" Well, the crown jewel of my arsenal just arrived today, as well. Built by one of the best in the business, and one heck of a craftsman, Mike at Delaware Valley Tackle. My new swimbait beast, "The Record Breaker" has landed. Built on a 8' MHX blank, can handle all my 3-8oz bait throwing needs with ease AND style! Of course, paired with the new Queen of the reel arsenal, the Calcutta Conquest 301. 11 Quote
Burtonxj Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Getting some notes typed up for Mike at DVT right now. Rod looks awesome man. Enjoy it. 1 Quote
