Super User Columbia Craw Posted March 5 Super User Posted March 5 I caught my pb largemouth on a glide bait and my pb smallmouth on a Rago so these could be interesting. 11 Quote
TheBaitMonkey Posted March 6 Posted March 6 A few more 110 SRs. Really need ice out to get here so I can stop looking at baits on the internet and start actually using them. I feel like this is the time where us northern guys are busier in this thread as we patiently wait lol -Â 11 Quote
Smirak Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I went into another academy and realized the extra 75% on clearance wasn’t going on any longer. Thought I had found the deal of the century. Two spools of Tatsu 20#. I don’t fish Tatsu at $63/spool. I might would fish Tatsu at $38/spool. I would definitely have fished it at 75% off of $38.00!  Grabbed some rod socks instead. 2 1 Quote

So instead of rod socks, I went and got some lure covers instead. Dirt cheap, and I really like 'em. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DMT3YSSM?th=1 1 Quote
10,000 lakes Bassin Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Terminator walking frogs at my local tackle shop on clearance for $3.74. If I remember right @gim is a fan of these, and I think $3.74 is almost 1/3 of their msrp. I’ll see how I like them this summer! 10 Quote

Super User Munkin Posted March 9 Super User Posted March 9 Hit a local fishing Flea Market today just seeing what was there. One guy was selling soft plastics $1 a bag and had a lot of good stuff. Ended up buying the entire tub of baits for $70. Counted when I got home and ended up with 121 full and 48 partial packs. The Jackal cross tail shads and Yamamoto Shad shape worms along were worth $70. If anyone is a kids bass fishing coach that needs some trick worms send me a message as I have like 15 packs I will donate. Â Allen 7 Quote
Mbirdsley Posted March 12 Posted March 12 This really all I’ve bought so far this year. I’m going to put in a big spine craw order on Friday from lure net.  However, other than that. I’m focusing more on non rod and real equipment upgrades.  From my favorite E-bay vendors in Alabama 100 black and blue trick worms. 2 DD LC French pearl lightening pointer and 2 DD Crystal pro blue lightening pointer.  So apparently, Rapala is discontinuing some of the original shad rap colors ? Delta craw being one of them ?  any one know anything about that ?   So the delta craw shad raps have been out of stock at all my normal sources of buying tackle on the internet.  I was able to find a lot of 3 new old stock SR-5’s and 1 SR-07 from either independent bait shops or individual sellers on eBay.  Prices were decent enough that I bought them. Early spring I have caught numerous big bass on a delta craw shad rap.  A little pike stole mine last year. 11 Quote
treble hook Posted March 14 Posted March 14 This isn’t really tackle, but it came in the mail today. My latest fishing purchase. I’ve been wanting it for a while and Bass Pro put it on sale and then club members got even more off so I couldn’t stand it. That Ol bait monkey got me again… 11 Quote

So 14 bucks apiece.  Pretty slick cost to fish for 6 months TBH. Last season I went fishing 35 times, so 40 cents per trip. 3 Quote

Easiest $20 ever spent. 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted March 16 Super User Posted March 16 It’s 28 bucks for a resident.  I buy the conservation version which is half the cost. It permits me to only harvest half the daily bag limits but 95% of the fish I target are released. So this is the version that C & R anglers would benefit the most. 5 Quote

I learned this from @gim last year -- so I do the same -- overall a good deal if you are primarily doing C&R 3 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted March 17 Super User Posted March 17 Not exactly tackle but it will be in my pocket every where I go, especially when I'm fishing. This is my first Benchmade knife and I can see why these things can be addictive. I had a coupon and a gift card so the final cost wasn't too bad. It's surgical sharp and definitely overkill for a pocket knife.   8 Quote

Probably my second favorite brand after Spyderco. 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted March 17 Super User Posted March 17 Stopped by Dick’s to get a fishing license and while browsing I came across these: The claws are made of rabbit fur. They look like they’ll be pretty good on a ned rig so I figured I’d give them a shot. 6 Quote
