Hopefully the Deps Bull Flat are more durable, gonna try those one of these days. Prepare to be 1/3rd as disappointed.... scott 1 Quote

I put them on an Owner CPS Twistlock and don't have many issues at all. Last Bellows Shad I had on caught me 8 decent largies, with nary a tear in the bait. Fished it the next day too until I cut it off to try something else (plus, scent was largely gone at that point). Also caught several largies on the 3.8 Stick, before a tear. But still, certainly more than one bite per bait My dog loves the smell I'd rather smell Geecrack than Missile or Gambler, but I like them too Quote

I traded credit card points today for my latest one, but then had to buy some more varivas pe, horizon heads, deathadders, and a little diawa spoon. It's such a great reel for M-ML applications and love the current price at digitaka. I recently followed @bulldog1935's advice and did a zillion bearing upgrade and roro x27 spool for a zillion and got an abu garcia Kurodai 7'3ML for true 2-3g bfs fishing. I need to be done for awhile, till the points rack back up or I blow thru all my line learning how to handle a high speed spool. scott @AlabamaSpothunter and @OHBuckets I was being slightly tongue in cheek, they're not terrible, but I certainly can't call them durable. Maybe it was just the aggression level of the fish I was catching, on those days I sometimes switch to cheaper/easier baits to source when they really like it, my last couple times I just rode out the bite going thru most of what I have. Cps does seem to help but you can also backslide rig if the nose is toast but intact. scott 5 Quote
OHBuckets Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 On durability, jeepers I put a Zman 4" scented jerk shad(z) on a weighted twistlock and fished the same one forever until I got bored with it. Those things outlast my attention span On the bait monkey, I just received a handful of the Zariganist Juniors and a pile of Missile Mini Magic worms. I look forward to switching over to those if I can't get on topwater early tomorrow 2 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted June 21, 2024 Super User Posted June 21, 2024 Used my Father's Day gift cards and picked a Daiwa Tatula BF 70. Going to go break it in on a Megabass P5 Siglett and some 5lb Sunline Invisible. See if you notice it. All I got to say, as a printer, is come on Daiwa, you can do better 😁. 11 Quote

The line capacity doesn’t change for the pound strength even the pe/braid which is definitely thinner compared to its mono/flouro counterparts 😬 Edited June 21, 2024 by Eric 26 Content 2 1 Quote

I don’t mind paying the price. On 6/21/2024 at 1:15 PM, NorthernBasser said: I love the smell of the Bellows Gill. Very unique scent. I'm guessing the Shad has the same scent? So my local shop, Copper State Tackle got some in stock. Check their website out. They only had 2 colors available at the time. 1 1 Quote
Pat Brown Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Got frogg'd very hard for fathers Day/on vacation at a local tackle shop we like to stop at: On the way to the beach I snagged my first Phat Frog in the duckling color and I snagged a 1/2 oz toad trophy and a shad trash panda (discontinued 13 fishing frog - Oliver Gnys favorite!) and a bone Launch because you can never have too many white launch frogs. Got my first snag proof Bobby's Perfect Frog in shad color and popping trophys in shad and bone. Son wanted a Teckel Sharker for his 5th grade graduation lure in the shark color after seeing it on Bassfishing HQ channel and I got the gizzard color for dad. Got back from the beach and my midway USA order arrived. Got some Spro Bronzeye Shad 65, white popping pipsqueak, some green tea popping and 5/8 oz trophy, bone trophy and more Launch and Launch XS in good colors. Also got a bunch of skirt material because snapping turtles keep getting my skirts! Really thinking hand tied custom skirt colors will yield some wild bites when I figure out what drives them nuts! 😎😎😎🎣🎣🎣 17 Quote

softwateronly Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 @Pat Brown That Teckel shark is an open water gem. It walks so easily you can dance it in place, preferably right over their head. Don't sleep on it. scott 1 Quote

Super User J._Bricker Posted June 25, 2024 Super User Posted June 25, 2024 Father’s Day present from Mrs B. just arrived from Japan via Amazon. This Alphas is a pretty little reel and will probably be replacing my trusty old Type F slinging senkos. 13 Quote
Super User ATA Posted June 26, 2024 Super User Posted June 26, 2024 I was low on lucky crafts, Also I wanted to try the GRAT always. plus some pink grub and tuna blood for next week saltwater fishing. 8 Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted June 27, 2024 Super User Posted June 27, 2024 Been wanting to try the 13 Fishing Power Slide when it was first released a few years back. I never got around to getting one but then I was watching a Whatnot auction and they put one up for cheap so I snatched it up. I've been so impressed with it, I ended up getting 2 more off eBay. You can still find them but not sure for how much longer, since Rapala bought them out and looks to have squashed most of their baits (definitely all their hard baits). 😡 Shiny Bone, Translucent Bone and Bone. 9 Quote

Peacedivision Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 Wanted to try the Plano frog box for a while but the price was a little obscene even by Plano edge standards. TW had it marked $10 off plus the 15% 4th of July sale made it a little more palatable 7 Quote
IcatchDinks Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 Bait Monkey got me pretty good today. The biggest expense was a long sleeve Tshirt to fight the sun, but wanted to try some of these swimbaits everyone is talking about, Academy kept throwing stuff in front of my face and like a first year bass, I bit on every single one. 9 Quote

Super User NorthernBasser Posted July 4, 2024 Super User Posted July 4, 2024 Picasso Tungsten Little Spotty. Awesome little finesse jig. I usually use them when targeting smallies, though don't know why. They're great no matter what kind of bass you're after. It has 3 small titanium weed guards that works really well. 3" Pit Boss, Baby Rage Craw and Zoom Super Chunk Jr (threaded on) pair nicely with them. 4 Quote
