7' MH/F Aird-X to be matchy matchy with it as a beater/loaner combo.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised - I still have a pair of Aird-Xs in my lineup despite the Victorys and Mojo Bass'...and yes, one of those Aird-Xs is a 7' MH/F.

I've fished them a little bit, they've been my go-to budget rod recommendation for several years now for friends getting into the sport, just never had a reason to pull the trigger on one for myself. Definitely a standout in their price point though. Your posts about the MH/F are why I went with it over the medium.

Just got my order in from engineeringhooksets.com. The guy is a YouTuber and smalltime bait-maker. I've had success with his soft plastics last year and loaded up on baits again for this year.

Although the war rages on, I have not bought a swim bait reel yet. There will be one in the future but not yet.

Not that you need any nudging, but the Calcutta Conquest MD 300 has been an absolute joy to fish with.

You're out of control.

Last year when you vowed to stop buying gear and said you were gonna start downsizing, you were the beacon of light that all of us other whacko's were to look to for guidance and hope. Instead, it seems like somebody got you wet or fed you after midnight (the younger peeps may not get this), and you've morphed into something that would even make the bait monkey cower in the corner of the room, knees shaking uncontrollably

In my Joe Pesci voice- "We got ourselves a freakin' court reporter over here!"

I have been looking at the Tran x, tatula 300 locally. I have been struggling with the rod being lighter due to it being a p5 and only 7 foot length wise. But I am still looking at my options. Thanks for the recommendation.

Oh yeah, your Tequila Baccarac. I've had my eye on that rod for years but the couple times I was ready to pull the trigger they'd be out of stock. My plan has been to put a Zillion HD on it... seems like it would be a really good fit. Tranx 300's are excellent reels, but mine are on 8 footers and IMO they may be a bit heavy/big for the TB. Best of luck with your pursuit!

The 6" whales are fantastic quality for the price.  Really loving the 6" Zaldaingerous swimbait also and got some 3/4 oz beast hooks for burning the bait under the surface more effectively.  Excited!

Clearwater Rose and Blueback Herring colors pictured here and both look great in person.

Stopped at Cabela’s tonight and picked up some swimbaits and some weights to make some more line through swimbaits. The reviews of the Bass Mafia swim on YouTube sound amazing so I apparently had to give it a go. This swimbait thing is getting expensive. The red.straws are spray can replacement straws from Amazon. They are thicker the normal straws.

So I picked up a Kast King speed demon rod after eyeballing them for a few years in a 6’-10” to replace my Lews speed stick Hank Parker rod. I know the KK rods aren’t exactly perfect but I really like the Wynn grips, the Fuji component’s although I’m not to sure about the rubberized handle area that has been pointed out,IMG_0301.jpeg.c60a05c83a8a136a22c921e0f3623d50.jpegIMG_0302.jpeg.32a6eda868371915df861e70e008167c.jpegIMG_2943.jpeg.39ab240d2ecfd371c268c01db51aba46.jpegIMG_2941.jpeg.a8efb786d735c2df5276e3f23fd8f24a.jpeg and lastly the color match with my Daiwa CA80 looks like it was made for each other. I will say for a $130.00 rod I would like to see a minimum 5 year warranty but it is what it is. I also received my Miravel from JLS and I have to say I’m excited to get this one spooled up and put to good use.

After going over our finances - the wife gave me a pre-season gifting....already spent most of it on this, which Scheels has on sale...so still no LiveScope...but YES to upgrading to side-scan.

ScheelsOrder.JPG.ce015f048d469c94af4f70037c34eedc.JPG

I'll still keep the Striker 7CV - use that split screen on 2d and Down-Scan, the 93SV will alternate between split-screen of Map and Side-Scan or just Side-Scan.

The fun will be routing the transducer cables from the bow to the stern - get the 7CV's off the TM...work on that while waiting for the 93 to show up.

Ya, I could have driven the half-hour and done pickup...but Nora and I are both suffering bronchitis and I didn't feel like getting dressed.

I've got something like that too.  Got it from my wife and kid.  They recovered in about 6 days.  I'm on day 3.  Not fun.

You'll have to post a photo of it set up on the Bass Trek when you're done.

Chatted with the neighbor who does my lawn and show removal in exchange for letting him park some of his stuff in my yard. He says it's made the rounds of our neighborhood...he and his wife had it week before last.

I think about enormous lost fish frequently too.  Those images and experiences are permanently tattooed on my brain

They're burned in there even more vividly than the big catches.

I forgot that I had placed an order for some Zorro spinnerbaits as well. I would just like to give Zorro a quick shout-out on here. It’s definitely not uncommon for me to order direct from the company rather than off tacklewarehouse because I get more selection, especially with Zorro. So this was a direct from Zorro deal. I don’t know if the company has deliberately improved their quality control, but the spinnerbaits I received were in absolutely perfect condition. Still stock with sampo swivels, super sharp hooks, good blades, no blemishes to speak of.

"Needed" a light action rod for finesse swimbaits and drop shot and I couldn't pass up the Flyssa.

Always have to replenish senkos and I'll be testing these square bills now that our bass have moved up.

No pics but, I picked up some Yum Dingers and 5” Senkos, X-Zone Adrenaline Craws, an H2OX popper, mushroom nail weights, standard nail weights, wacky rig hooks, and a Spro frog.
