Just arrived is a Piscifun Carbon X II 3000 spinner to add to my arsenal. I'm a fan of these reels and especially like that they are so light. This is #7 Carbon X (and II's) 3000. Very smooth and they have held up really well. The only drawback is parts availability, but for me that hasn't been an issue.

I recently purchased a Piscifun Carbon X II 1000 to use for some crappie/pan fishing as it looks like the lakes here will be free of ice well before the May 11th bass season opens...I am happy to hear you have had good experiences with them since this the first Piscifun I have purchased

Not long ago I bought a like new Okuma Hakai off our flea market and a new Zillion from one of the Japanese stores.  Tomorrow morning I will head to the little pond dug out for us villa residents to fish at.  Have a few rods (and reels) that haven't been used yet, but they weren't purchased within the past year.

EDIT:  Only Piscifun reels I have are the Sword fly reels.

What the mods say, goes. I guess I don't see what the big deal is if it's all posted in here like it has been. Like others have said rods and reels are technically fishing tackle.

Can we all just decide it's okay to post rods and reels in here? It's easier to have everything in one place. Might as well go ahead and separate terminal, hard lures, jigs, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, soft plastics, and line while we're at it. Only makes things more difficult to have rods and reels in a separate place

If the Carbon X II in the 1000 size performs (quality wise) like it's bigger brother in the 3000 size, I think you'll be very  happy with it. It would be great if spare spools were easily available, but I'm told it will be several months for them, according to Piscifun. They used to be available for the Carbon X 3000 but not now.

I like the idea of this thread too!

I have to admit I went a little nuts at the Bass Pro Spring sale. It was annual bonus time at work, so I brought 3 old spinners to trade in. Wanted to check out a 2000 Vanford for a little Falcon Expert "Dropshot" rod I have, and maybe check out a couple Tatula MQ 2500 reels for my wife to replace a couple heavier Presidents she had been using.

As usual lately,.... Bass Pro didn't have what I wanted. No 2000 series Vanford. Doesn't even look like thet stock it when I checked online, and they had no 2500 Tatula MQs.

I had already traded in, so I was stuck and decided to liok at other options. Decided on a Tatula MQ 3000, a Ballistic MQ 2500, and a Vanford 2500. I put the Tat on a 6'9" ML Fenwick HMG my wife likes. Balances REALLY nice!  I put the Vanford on an older Fenwick World Class I had picked up at American Legacy. Feels good! Lastly. I put the Ballistic MQ on the 6'10" Falcon Expert rod. Nice light setup! I set it up as a light little ned rig rod for now.

I think I am done for a while!! (I hope!!)

Picked up a couple new Daiwa reels . The 1st a tatula mq lt spinning reel. The 2nd a tatula sv tws.  Really happy with both so far the sv tws reminds me a lot of the zillion. Not quite as smooth or light though but not far off.

Yes, it's been that way for years. No sense in changing it now.

@FrnkNsteen I too took advantage of the BPS trade in sale but I’ve learned to hold onto my trade in until I’m ready to purchase and our BPS (Bolingbrook IL) has a cash register in the fishing department and he handled the trade in and sale transactions. I also stopped at my favorite local shop (Anglers Outlet) on my way home yesterday from a work meeting. IMG_2786.jpeg.c85db4234229b4d0de3e773be8cc9e17.jpegIMG_2785.jpeg.f14fc90dae28c23d2a0224037bdc80ac.jpegIMG_2801.jpeg.c0a85505a8f2cf0ea6403d0ba1fc27a4.jpegI’m still debating on putting an alder Abu Garcia Cardinal or a Piscifun Carbon X 1000 on the St Croix and I’ll agree with you guys that love them and although as pointed out parts aren’t readily available but as of 3 seasons they show no signs of needing any.

Was going through my stuff and realized I needed a few things before pre spawn gets into full swing.  Screenshot_20240317_113524_YahooMail.jpg.fd141632b940905e20aaed10a35fdb78.jpgScreenshot_20240317_113533_YahooMail.jpg.a8c70cad65036d58b63661dc0289369c.jpg

I gotta stay away from TW!

My last three purchases they didn’t include the free sticker, which were all over the $50 limit. I added them to my cart but they didn’t show up.

No biggie, I have three in a drawer already. 😀

That place is a deep pit!

The one in Cincinnati is the same way. I could have done the same thing, but I think I subconsciously knew I wanted to get something either way so I didn't really care! 😂😂.

Just would have been nice if they had any of which I went there wanting

You now have to scroll down on the checkout page and select that you want the free sticker for orders over $50.

Went to DSG for some Yum hellgramites and found a few extras. They had buy five clearance items get five free. I had a coupon and some score card cash. I got all this for $45 but some is for a buddy of mine. I didn't need any of it. Thanks Monkey.

Always been intrigued by DC reels and the release of the Met 70 at jdm rates was just too good for me to pass up.

I'll be using it primarily for spinner baits when the wind picks up, so of course I had to add some more sv-3's.

I'm curious how these Geecrack finesse swimbaits will do compared to Keitechs and largos.

Just pulled one out of the package to check and it's more conventional with a little more hefty/durability feeling than I would have anticipated. Also, now my fingers smell like overly ripe corn chips. 😆

I am still in line, would you record a clip and show it around under natural light?
