@Dwight Hottle Out of curiosity, I recall the Lindner’s mentioning pink colors can sometimes be a hot color for SMB. Has that been your experience as well?

Well, I caved & paid more than I should have but wasn’t going to wait around for weeks or months for resupply to happen (or not). I figure if they don’t work as hoped for LMB, the SMB might very well tear them up when I head north.

In addition to being willing to overpay a bit, knowing Japanese tendencies for certain mispronunciations aided greatly in finding some hard to find colors.

Ripped, Can you shoot/PM me a link to your JDM dealer? I've hunted for the 4" drift fry with no luck.

@roadwarrior 5 here, mainly to try & get an idea if color will matter that much & which ones. The Sweet Fish color matches closest what I tend to see the most in the small waters I fish or matches colors with which I’ve had success most often (darker green/brownish back, lighter bellies) with some colors that are also more flash, closer to maybe a  threadfin.

A few months back I traded a bunch of my kingyo vision 110's for some stuff and got about $100 for each one. Then megabass just dropped a bunch. Oof.

Series of storms has been keeping me off the water, so of course the bait monkey has been in my ear. First order was just Ned replenishing since that's been the ticket and should continue to be for another few weeks.

@NorthernBasser, curious about the flapper grub. Better action than say the Zoom Fat Albert? Would also like your thoughts on the paddlin beaver.

They were just released but I'm a fan of anything Keitech so I had to get them. Here's some underwater footage.

I need more cranks like a hole in the head but, for $2.99 with mustad triple grips i’ll buy them.  everything from the right are from the local surplus store 2 cliff banger 70’s and a 60. top is disco shad middle greenie, and bottom day old guac.

the right side is what i found at the St.johns walmart which, has a really good fishing section. I usually stop there after work at 6 am.  walmart has had some good clearance sales. top #7 shad rap in black and silver middle zoom GP 4 inch tube.  bottom rat-l-trap in black and silver which, was almost half off.

So for future reference,  don't let the Monkey show up at your house on Valentines Day. I did get to cross a few things off my list though.  I've been wanting to see if the BR Head is good or just hype and the red head 110 is to replace one I lost a long time ago.

This color should be killer.

This one as well. It has that morning dawn coloration.  It flashes yellow at the top. The picture doesn't do it justice.

I called them yesterday. It had been a week since I ordered. They apologized and said they were super busy with that last sale. I said no worries, just didn't know how long their turnaround was since I never ordered from them before. He said he'd make sure it got shipped out after we got off the phone, and he did.

Got a few packages today. I bought my first Phenix rod (Feather). A 7'7 XH (1/2 oz-3oz). This thing weighs 4.04 oz!!! HOW??? My 7'1 MH Helium is super light, and that weighs 4.11 oz. 6'11 M Poison Adrena weighs 3.76 oz. 7'2 MH Expride, 4.60 oz. 6'11 Megabass Levant Jerkbait Special, 4.26 oz. And so on. I'm worried this thing is gonna explode on my first hard hookset. How does Phenix pull off this voodoo wizardry????

Also some great deals on a few other baits. 13 Fishing Scamp 1.5 is an awesome squarebill ($5, reg. $11). The Gordito is tiny (2") medium diver. 13 Fishing baits come with great hardware (Triple Grips on the Scamp, not sure what's on the Gordito) and nice paintjobs. I love the Regurgitated Shad color. One of my most productive colors on my lipless baits from them. Sadly it looks like Rapala might be phasing the 13 Fishing line out. At least the baits.

Didn't need the Bagley topwaters, but at $3.70 (reg, $9) they were hard to pass up.

Never tried the Duckett Baits Sculpo XD before. But for $3.75 (reg. $12) I figured I'd try them out. Nice looking paint job on them. Pretty wide-bodied. Has quite the bill on it.

I don't see Rapala phasing out 13's rods & reels.  They're good products and it gives them instant market share.  Keeping 13's lures might also be a good hedge for Rapala to increase their brand's pricing and market them as premium over 13.  After all, Vision 110's are $25 each and are in a lot of tackle boxes.

All 13 Fishing baits are heavily discounted on TW right now. And if you go to the Rapala/13 Fishing website, the only baits they show are tiny panfish baits. I do agree they'll likely keep the rod/reel lineup though.

I picked up a bunch of the 13 finesse worms with rabbit ears on a different website that were also heavily discounted. I got like 40 of them for $5 or so.  Hadn't tried any yet, but they're really well made with interesting color patterns, also. I'll probably regret not buying more.

No pics but I bought my first rod and reel in about 15 years or more. A couple of co-workers and I were discussing fishing and one of their wife's is always selling stuff at flea markets and places like that. I asked him if she had any fishing stuff and the other co-worker piped up and said he had a bunch of rods he wasn't using. So, I went over to his house and looked around. He did, but most of them were pretty old and beat up. The last rod that he had bought new was a Zebco 33 mounted on a 6'0 M Ugly Stik and he said he only used it a couple of times. I carried it home with a spool of 10lb Spiderwire for $10.

I'll play around with it and see what happens. I already took off the original line. I'm an Ugly Stik fan, anyway, so I'll figure something out just for the rod.

Now, his tackleboxes were really something. Lots of old hardbaits and chatterbaits in the original packages and Culprit worms in packaging that I've never seen. He wasn't ready to let most of that stuff go, though. At least for what I was willing to pay.

The GDash is a phenomenal lure IMO - and I thought I bought all the Gachi Gill ones :) I've had fun fishing them here in OH
