Yep most certainly does, I had been fighting on the spinning reel since last summer. And finally decided to go for it. Yes I definitely have a problem, I like tackle and reels and rods way too much. But there’s a lot worse things that I could do. Oh well someday I might own a zoo lol.

Yes I will lol, like I tell people when I get stuff at the store. I take a big duffel bag fishing and what do I throw, three things if I am lucky. Usually wading with a pocket of ziplock plastics and what I have tied on. I just like to keep myself sharp on multiple techniques even though I mainly throw jigs and plastics. Sad realization but true, it lies all with me. At least I won’t be lonely the monkeys can keep me company lol.

went to the surplus store in carson city ( same people own the one in chesaning) to pick up some minnie’s for ice fishing sunday.   The fishing selection that place has is amazing.  they have doubled thier size in 2 years and it’s pretty much all fishing stuff in the new addition.  they do get a lot of over stock from the previous year but, also have new this year tackle. 

 

looks like 13 fishing is discounting the cliff banger cranks?  because, they had boxes of them for $3.99.  i wasn’t looking to buy cranks today but, for that price i’ll bite.  looks like TW and other sights are blowing the cliff bangers out.  i will be going back for more.

should be ice fishing sunday.  crystal lake had 4-5 inches of solid black ice.

Should be Flashing Wakasagi, but as Jedi said, if the actual product has a color name on it, it's in Japanese.  

 

I use Digitaka's website to find the color names.

@gimruis is right sadly, we become vampires in July and August.  90d nights are hardly fishable.   

 

Not to mention those northern fish seem so eager to bite once the season is open.   Those fish get to reset every winter.

Folks - take note that this young man didn’t say “un-fishable”. I can agree and empathize. I’ll get on the TN River or Guntersville or Wherler at 200 degrees. Really only because I’m prone to getting real wet in my kayak.

Nothing special compared to the majority of posts here, but I was at a conference today in a town that had a BP, so snuck out there on the lunch break. The Mepp's are my wife's favorite lures, so I knocked out her Valentine's Day gift a little early. The Tri Color worms were on sale and look to be pretty good for all the finesse fishing I normally do. 

 

It seems like the Mepp's were a whole lot cheaper the last time I bought any. These things were like $7 each. Oh well. Happy Wife...Happy Life.

@OmegaDPW, those same mepps were my dad’s favorite lure. They cost $5 back in those days (circa 1990) so they haven’t gone up too much. He never let us cast them because they were too expensive 😂

I mighta got 'em confused with some other inline spinners. I have never fished these things. I was always a "Beetle Spin for a buck" kind of guy. Caught a lot of fish for that dollar, too. 😉

Megabass bait monkey bit hard. Picked these up from a variety of sources over the past month. Never fished them before and can hardly wait to start throwing them...... Onetens, Oneten Jr.'s, & X-80's.

I bet it was in that 48min video he posted about this bait a few weeks back.   I couldn't do 48mins for a bait I didn't own at the time 😁

 

The guy I won it from has really cool big swimbait footage on his channel where he trolls them in front of one of those underwater cams meant for it.  He did a recent one on this bait and it was blowing out.   He gets fish catches on KGB glides on it which is how I found his stuff.

I’ve been eyeballing this rod since last spring and finally pulled the trigger last week. The reel was purchased last spring with the intention of going onto this rod. Sorry the photos aren’t the greatest quality.

So since I’m on this self imposed “no actual bait buying in 2024” ban, the thought occurred to me that a subscription box wouldn’t technically violate that rule since I don’t know what’s in it, right?  Been digging 6th sense lately and want to give their bag a try.

I'm on the ban too for 2024.  My opinion is that if you bought it, you violated.  But that's just me.

 

Ask for it as a gift from the Mrs.  Or just cave into the ban.  lol

 

My bday is coming up in about 40 days so I've got a built in work-around.
