RipzLipz Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 Apologies for my assumption. Not sure if I should offer congratulations 🤣. Not married here either, and fine with that - more time for chasing the green variety of fat bottomed gals. Much fewer headaches but not sure which is worse on the wallet. 11 hours ago, A-Jay said: Depends who you ask. ….and what is "caught". 😷🤧🤢 1 1 Quote

Finally pulled the trigger on a dedicated "cold water" setup for jerkbaits mostly. Diawa Alphas 800, Phenix Feather 7'1MH with 40lb Daiwa Samurai. Now that’s a nice set up Quote

Mbirdsley Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 here is a major score from my favorite ebay vendor from alabama. 4 lucky craft LVO’s 3/4 oz ( 2 gold & 2 striped gill). bottom 3 right side 3 magic-man 75 3/4oz in louisiana frog cakes. and 3 magic man 65’s 1/2 oz in chicken of the sea. got it all for $70 shipped. that translucent gill color should be killer early spring with a lot of the clear lakes that i fish. I always like throwing gold on cloudy days First impressions of the 13 magic man lipless cranks is very favorable. these are well well made. I like the color line up that 13 has. havnt fished them yet though. i think im set on 3/4 oz lipless baits but, i could buy more of those 1/2 oz. I could see me buying a few more 1/2 oz rattle traps as well. lousiana frog color could be a bunch of different bait fish up here. chicken of the sea, i don’t like super bright chartreuse baits. i like the chartreuse to be more subdued. best time to throw chartreuse is the last hour-half before the sun goes down. 10 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted December 29, 2023 Super User Posted December 29, 2023 Picked this up from a store I never go to with some Christmas cash and a gift card. I am going to replace my old Simms sling pack with it. I don't think I would go out of my way to spend this much on a pack but for $0, I will put it to good use. 6 Quote
RipzLipz Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Snagged a replacement bag on sale for $28 from BPS a couple of weeks ago. Old one was getting pretty ragged after 10-12 years of use. No boxes included. 9 Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted December 29, 2023 Super User Posted December 29, 2023 I have that same bag. I use it when I go in a friend’s boat. It holds a ton of stuff. 1 Quote

bp_fowler Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Yeah I seem to recall they used to come 6 or 7 in a package… ***EDIT*** I looked on TW and they sell the various sizes in packages of 4-9 depending on the size for $7. The ones I have I got at Wally World and they were $4 for a pack of 5, but they only have the 3.25 and 3.75. 1 1 Quote

You can definitely find great deals on Amazon. Just gotta keep an eye out and watch for fluctuating prices. I got my Coastal off there earlier this year for $173. Quote
Super User gim Posted December 30, 2023 Super User Posted December 30, 2023 I stopped at Cabela's before I went pheasant hunting today to get a box of shells and made a stroll over through the fishing dept. There was a bargain bin of $2.99 hardbaits. Most were the green bass pro brand that I did not care for but mixed in were a few of the XPS "the egg" crank baits. I scoured that bin for all of them and found three. 10 bucks later... And just to clarify, my 2024 goal is to not buy any tackle. It's not 2024 yet so I'm good. 12 Quote

Super User Cgolf Posted December 30, 2023 Super User Posted December 30, 2023 Well I got my first Omina order, a single spool of the sunrise 10 lb 832 to try on spinning reels. I liked the color, but since I already have 5 spools of 30 lb, I didn’t grab this color for my casting rods. my wife also found me some glitter to put on spinnerbait blades. 11 Quote
