Birthday loot's starting to trickle in.

These look dope. I can't wait to lose them.

That’s how I feel every time I buy a crank-bait. Just a matter of time!

The JDM Exchange Rate Monkey delivered today.

20231103_181151.jpg.6208e615e699f63e5787e2f87e78c5a3.jpg

I can't believe how small this thing is. It's about the same size as the BFS version.

20231103_180958.jpg.ef455a5e23e591b9d11ab4e5cde5043f.jpg

This has to be one the most over the top and maybe overpriced baits I have bought.  US price is $30. I paid about $15.  No big deal if it catches some fish but no way I'm paying $30 for one.

Academy has some fishing clearance that started today.

Stealth Blade Jackhammers, Thunder Crickets (including the tungsten ones), and 3/8oz CrossEyez chatterbaits for 9 bucks each.

Gold label Seaguar for 9 bucks, ~6 bucks for those Savage Gear 5" swimbaits (not the 4" ones though sadly).

Where did you get the $9 gold label, what test is it?

Decided to give the + size floating jerkbait thing more of a try this Fall/Winter. Already had a few on hand, but the bait monkey told me I needed more for good measure 🤣

Sorry, was out of town for work. I bought all of that at my local Academy, all of the gold label was on clearance for 9.97 I believe. The spool I picked up is 20lb since that's what I generally use for inshore leaders.

Nice, our grandkids will be talking about the great JDM deal days in 50 years 🤣

Japan said it's Black Friday sales all year long.   This time last year I was saying the same thing, JDM pricing was better than the best Black Friday USDM deals.

@AlabamaSpothunter I couldn’t agree more and if I was bit more serious about my fishing I would have jumped all over the Daiwa zillion tw that you and others have praised.

Zillion is a good reel, don’t get me wrong, but there is no way I would pay the normal price for it. For the discounted price that I got it for a while back due to JDM/USD exchange, I agree it is a good reel.

Couldn't pass up a 30%+ sale on kicknockers and I've been wanting to see if the fish around here will hit dice.

I think you need a big pair of hairy dice yourself to throw such a thing 🤡

Got one box of fun stuff in. I am looking forward to trying the R18. I read a review that it is similar to Tatsu but far less expensive.  I'll find out next year.

I will be adding a couple of Evokes to my next order. I read several reviews saying the bill is fragile, but it was the 1.2 model.

I haven't tried the 1.2 but the 2.0 and 1.8's I have get banged around cover all the time.  Black Back Shad is a good color to start with.

Picked up a Curado K 201 HG at Academy for $142 today. No idea what I'll use it for, but for that price I figured it was worth trying.

I have been wanting to try those dice but they can get pricey.  Below has been my alternative from Geecrack.  I cut the big ones into thirds after they are torn, the medium sized ones in half and fish them on a wacky hook. They catch fish believe it or not.

Ya - I have a CA80 XS on my pitching rig...good reel.

Shipped from Amazon JP, but found on Amazon US site.

https://www.amazon.com/Daiwa-Bait-Right-Handle-Model/dp/B07MJZXQK1?th=1

And - another day, another delivery. Between the sale price, a gift card and points, I paid $80 for this new.
