Those things are HUGE It's honestly my favorite thing to throw now, I can yeet it so far. I can still throw the lipless farther. But the 10XD is so much fun to throw. The wages of sin are death with that thing, though. I got one warning shot before it was hung up too bad to float out. I got maybe 50 casts in with it before the oopsie. Gonna have to adjust my reaction to getting stuck, I'm not used to floating baits. I can't even replace it before tomorrow because someone stole my bank info while I was snapping off the 10XD ?????? one of those times where I might as well put a $20 bill on a spoon as a trailer lol 1 Quote

MontclairDave Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Picked up a very slightly used Kaden 713 and 610-4 CB from this site, came yesterday. My first Dobyns rods after years of hearing folks sing their praises. Will try em out this afternoon in between rain drops. Looks like a great way to get into swimbaits without breaking the bank. Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted August 25, 2023 Author Super User Posted August 25, 2023 I have been absolutely obsessed with finesse jigging heavy cover this year. It was previously one of my favorite ways to fish but after I got a Destroyer Kirasame Kameyama Special and started using it for that, the technique exploded for me. My go-to lake has an insane amount of tangled lay downs, timber and stumps and that rod has given me so much more power to pull the fish out of the structure it’s been a game changer. The bait monkey has a death grip on me for these little finesse jigs now! Someone help!! ?? 8 Quote
Super User Cgolf Posted August 25, 2023 Super User Posted August 25, 2023 Well I ordered my Lure Parts Online late Tuesday night and I got it Thursday afternoon. Was glad that I was able to pickup some 1/8 ounce frames and some Indiana blades. Gonna try the painted blades next year, no idea what to expect there 11 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted August 26, 2023 Super User Posted August 26, 2023 Still not sure I want to go all the way down the BFS rabbit hole, but I was thinking it would be fun to have a light baitcaster for slinging around little moving baits in streams and ponds. Found this on AliExpress a few weeks ago and it arrived today -- Tsurinoya Dragon II C662L: 12 Quote

txchaser Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 No pics but got in some of the new yamamoto ichi and oki worms. The ichi is 10" ringworm (basically the 5.5 floater senko with a ribbon tail. And the oki is a straight worm. Haven't fished them yet, but I'm pretty sure they are going to do well. 1 Quote

Super User FishTank Posted September 9, 2023 Super User Posted September 9, 2023 I guess you can't have too many BFS rods. It's a blast to fish and definitely well made. I'll give more info after I have spent more time with it. 9 1 Quote

Super User LrgmouthShad Posted September 14, 2023 Super User Posted September 14, 2023 Okay y’all bad camera and bag lighting but here are Mr. Oldham’s trailer hitch jigs. I ordered these literally specific to Stillhouse. I figured that between these colors, I suspect there is one that will really work good for me. I think it may be the one with a splash of chartreuse. To Mr. Oldham’s credit, the jigs arrived very fast. I just didn’t realize they went to a rather unusual delivery location and I just figured out where they were. 12 Quote
