Well my local shop has there local sale going on so stocked up on a budget lol. I reworked a spinner bait that I didn’t like years ago. I finally know what I am buying and not just buying gimmicks lol, I don’t know what I was thinking a quad willow spinner bait face palm. I took it apart on Sunday and decided what I wanted to do. I wanted a single bronze blade but all they had were willows, didn’t want that. I settled on a 4.5 hildebrant Indiana blade in gold, next was my skirt choice beast coast pro pumpkin. I think it looks ok, your thoughts ? I bought some mustard triple grips and got a free pair of split ring pliers so I could live with it.

next stuff I bought was a royal pain in the butt. I took my daughter to dsg to get new shin guards for soccer. I saw a few sixth sense lipless cranks that I liked, I then saw a sign that said buy 3 get 3 free so I picked out 6 baits that I liked. Got to the register and they tried to charge me for all of them. I told them about the sign they called a manager and they looked, took 10 minutes and then they tried to tell me that it was only googan and rapala buy one get one and I told them it’s on the end cap and says 6th sense hard baits and soft baits buy three get three free. 10 minutes later they come back and take the 3 off so I get 6 cranks for $30 but they were rude and didn’t want to help. I don’t see me really going there much anymore.

Should have taken a picture but my local high end shop just got the Tactical Bassin Tactical Wake baits in, man they are killer looking!   They come in this sweet big wooden box with the hardware separate.   They were about $80.    So close to buying it like an idiot lol.   Had Daiwa days going on, and had a few Tat 300s left for $170, I'll regret not buying one, but I just wasn't quite ready to buy another reel.   They had Zillion SV TW Gs for $300, wanted to tell the dude that I could get them for $250 from Japan and if they'd price match haha.

The Burrito saved me as I had been wanting one for some time and decided a $40 bait was enough.

Haven't bought Tungsten in close to 20 years, man it sucks to spend good money on bullet weights while hard baits are screaming pick me.

Lastly, I never thought somebody could make prettier colors with soft plastics than Roboworm, then I found Missile Baits.   The colors they create are so unique and cool.   Inflation truly sucks, these things were 3.99 a pack a week or two ago, now the most recent batch they got in a 4.69.    My local store usually has similar pricing as TW.

Tournament Tackle carries some exclusive colors for the D Bomb (as well as the Reaction Innovations Sweet/Smallie Beaver). The Wicked Craw and Wicked Gill are awesome. Pics don't do them justice. They aren't always in stock because a lot of tourney guys buy them up (looking at you, Kyle Welcher). I buy them in the 25 count bulk.

Drool, throw those in the bait porn thread.    The Roboworm FX series from back in the day, something I should get some pics of for the bait porn thread are my favorites still, but outside of those, these colors are the next mind-blowing stuff I've seen.

It's really beautiful stuff.

I've had similar signage issues at my local DSG but they're always happy to offer whatever the sign says.  Sorry yours wasn't the same.  Anyways, off to DSG... lol

Restocked on my main Fluke colors but decided to throw a few new colors into the mix. The Rocky Top color should produce. I had really good luck last spring with the 6th Sense Flush in the Baby Gill color, which is orange with some green pumpkin/watermelon color. The Bone color should be great, because, well...it's Bone. And the 3rd color is Pink Champagne. Never seen that color in Fluke before so figured I'd play around with it on my smallie lakes/rivers. Of the three I'm really liking the bone.

Yeah it basically comes down to who is working there. They weren’t the friendliest but I will probably still go there. In the end I am a consumer of fishing stuff and I like to buy locally and not over the internet. So I am left with options but not many oh well. Thank you for your input on your local stores. It’s definitely the people who make a store though, in reality they could have not offered to do it. My hats off to them for following through though.

I saw  that dude last summer on a small local lake. He had an enclosed trailer that carried kayaks and stuff that had that logo plastered all over it.

New toy that I mentioned was coming. I don’t want to do Midway USA any discredit. The order arrived well ahead of today. They have fast shipping.

Lews KVD composite cranking rod 7’4” MH mod. An @A-Jay special.

It’s mainly gonna be a cranking stick for me, I think, but I can see myself using it for potentially a variety of other things as well.

I do like it under first impression, but this is definitely different than a graphite stick. I have it with a REVO Winch Gen 4, one of my favorite reels

Do you mind me asking where you purchased the Yum Hellgaramites at @NorthernBasser? I found them on lure net but they wanted something like $10 for shipping...

Did you see that Vols-themed Camas they had at the Classic?

I didn’t go to the expo this year, just stayed on the water. I need to look up a photo!

That's where I bought them but I added enough stuff ($35) to get free shipping.

Got a new WikedStyx Custom rod by FishStyx today. Paired it with a Lews Tournament MP.FDB8E979-9FBB-46B7-A254-8A397B064318.thumb.jpeg.3bce7b5e2288fa678a2efbdaa4077e6c.jpeg

After cracking all the males in shallow and loosing the bigger females out Deep yesterday the bait monkey was whispering in my ear. So I was in owosso for my daughters soccer game and stopped by Dunhams sports to pick up more spring time and blue gill inspired baits.  Black and blue paca slim, sapphire blue pack chunk, GP pack chunk, blue gill grits side 5 and a smithwick suspending pro rogue in black back silver body orange belly.

i was using paca chunks and other net baits when I first started bass fishing and kinda swore them off.  I don’t think I was using what I had correctly.  Giving them another shot. The chunks will work with smaller jigs. Paca slims I think will be a change up from the chigger craw.  I actually do very well on black and blue plastic but, don’t have a lot for whatever reason I’m my bag.   Frites side is obviously for spring time and when ever a cold front comes through.  Smithwick rogue will be for the titabawassee and Saginaw rivers once the rivers open back up once the walleye are done spawning

i there’s out probably $150-$200 worth of soft plastics last weekend.  If I hadn’t used it 2-3 years out it went

Got a bunch of chatterbait trailers, some more A-rigs and Jigheads for them. Also got 3 flavors of pro-cure(Alewife, Craw and Shiner) and a few other things.

The Pack Chunk and Grits Side sounds like baits you get off Wish.com. :tongue23:

(NetBait does have some great soft plastics)

I got a couple more things that I wanted to try this year, I am going to switch from stick baits to tubes and see how it goes. I plan on using speed worms, trick worms and rage craws also. I also got a jabber jaw to compare to the axis 2.0 to form a opinion. I have a idea for the salty core tubes, I am thinking about using my owner haymaker 2/0 hooks to see how they work with them. The body looks thin enough that I should get penetration but I will see when I rig one up.
