In all seriousness, most serious Bass fisherman I know have more tackle than they'll use in 10 lifetimes.  Just comes with the sport I think.

BTW, I still have that JDM BFS rig if you get a wild hair.

Hahahah!!! She was thinking about getting me one, but I don’t want anything expensive because it’s guaranteed to fail. Just a standard cable steer 24v foot control is over $500, I can catch fish standing on a rock and use 500 bucks for jigheads until 2029

but I think i found a bow mount for $300 at academy, 12v and hand control

Give them a call and they will probably send you the baits for free.

That made me chuckke.  Grandebass has no phone number listed, and they haven't responded to my emails, or anyone else's on this site.  I orderded on Nov. 30th, and all they've done is print a shipping label ?.  I'm not sure how the company has made it this long.

Are all the MB Perch models as light barred as this one?

rsz_3809c2a3-bdb8-420f-a64b-46784f4e0960.jpg

They have 4-5 different perch patterns. I'm guessing that's the GP Pro Perch?

Here's mine for reference. In front of and behind light source. Does it look any darker when you take it out of the package?

Mat Perch seems to be the nicest pattern of the perch patterns to me...unless you want to go the route of Secret Oikawa!

I told myself I was never going to try jerkbaits again. That didn’t work out for me I guess

One stunna 112+1 and two Pointer SP 78s.

If conditions are right I will throw them

My PF orders, a small TW order and Grande Bass swimbaits/Air Tail Rattlers. Oh, and a few rods from two JDM companies I never tried before. Major Craft Benkei and Legit Design Stand Out. Can't use them yet but both rods feel and look great. Wasn't sure what reel I was gonna get for the Benkei, then remembered I had a Lew's LFS that was rodless...and bonus, it just so happens to match up nicely with the gold accents.

Some of these Berkley baits I absolutely didn't need. A few I haven't fished before but figured I'd give them a shot at that price.

I picked up that exact same mj benkei model earlier this summer, I think you’ll like it. It’s my main spook rod, also like it for skipping, I paired it with a daiwa svtw.

Awesome. Can't wait to use it. It seems like it'll be quite versatile.

Definitely versatile even though I only use it for spooks and skipping caffeine shads, it’ got more backbone and turned out to be a little on the faster side of mod-fast than I expected, but that’s a good thing when you hook a good’un under a gnarly snag infested pier.

Another set of Dale Hollow Tackles hair jigs. I think I’ll order one more set in the punisher version and be set on hair til I can get over to the shop that sells the Kingfisher Jigs which they told me are now sold as Appalachian Jigs.
The monkey told me I’m needing some more jerkbaits. We shall see.

Woohoo!  My pistol grip lightning rod arrived today!

IMG_3552s.JPG.c0f0594318472789f08a97fed7b59073.JPG

I looked several years for a pistol grip because I grew up with them, but I couldn't find any so I figured they didn't make them anymore. Then I got excited when I saw y'all ordering these, so listened to the monkey and jumped on the bandwagon when PF had the sale.  Man, this rod looks and feels awesome, very high quality.  I can't wait to use it in the tight fishing spaces around here.  ?

Freaking SWEET!    Been waiting for Digitaka to get them in for a month or two.

I was waiting for some reviews, where do these reels shine?

I was waiting as well. I got an email from my guy at JPL and I went to purchase one. I had something to take care and was away from computer for 15min and the one I wanted was gone. Went to Digitaka instead. It was about $25+ more from them but it's on the way.

I plan to use it for crankbaits but I may change my mind. We will see how it compares to the Zillion.

That's odd, usually JPL is the more expensive place but you get the free lure I've found.

Either way prices have gone significantly up over the last month.   Still great deals, but the end is coming based on the moves of Japan's central bank in recent weeks.

You guys ever have it where, you see something that looks nice and you're like "man, I'd love to have that". But then the more practical side of your brain says "yeah, it'd be nice, but you don't need it". But then you think to yourself "yeah, but you only live once, I work hard, I deserve to spoil myself from time to time". But then you think "eh, I just spend x amount of dollars on fishing stuff this past month, I really shouldn't". Then you think "true, this is money I shouldn't be spending right now, but I'll just sell a rod or 2 that I don't use much anymore to cover it". But then the smart part of the brain says "oh BS, you know dang well you ain't selling those rods...this will just add to all the rods that you really don't NEED".

So you finally listen to the practical side of your brain and decide that you don't need it. It'll be money well-spent on something else...something you NEED.

But them BLAM!!! Out of nowhere the dang Bait Monkey jumps on you, grabs you by the face, pulls you close and screams "JUST GET IT, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO! DO IT, DOOO ITTT!!"

Well that just happened to me over the past few days. I saw a custom drop on a few ALX rods. Talked to them to get more info on it. And I finally pulled the trigger today. If it fishes as well as it looks I should be a happy camper. I have a few other ALX rods that I really enjoy, so I'm sure I'll be happy with the purchase.

That is sweet!

I tried to buy an Enox BMJ from TW a few months ago but there was a mix up in their system and I never ended up getting it. I definitely want to try one though and their custom options are very intriguing.

As promised, ended up with some jackall stuff from the local tackle store too, and an evergreen grass ripper.
