Me too...

FM

Happy to have company....

@AlabamaSpothunter I'm no blade bait expert, but the vault is fish catching machine.  The only advice I have is less is more, just a 2-3 shimmy and drop. Rips through the short grass, vibrates quickly, and gets bites.  @A-Jay put me on some good hardware upgrades.  The pike up here have been equal opportunity feeders to go with the SM and LM.

How do you fish the Trago?

Fish it like a spinner bait. Slow roll it with an occasional pop or pause. You can also yo-yo it.

The bait monkey saw me driving by the bait shop and pulled me in like a tractor beam. Luckily he let me go for only $20.90. Got 35 jigheads, couple jigs and some hand pour chunks

My first two Zillion SV TW reels are crossing the Pacific coming my way.  One is from JLS and the other from Digi….  The notification for “back in stock” made me jump on them (like a monkey in the tree).

Nice buy on those ball head jigs as you’re gonna lose them if you’re down where the fish are.  Can’t have too many at that nice price.

Received a few packages this week.  Picked up handles and spools for my tat 100's from ali-exp.  First order from there...shipping took a month.

jgMAvg.jpg

Ray's long cast spool (tat ct/100).  About as deep as a 1012 or 105 sv spool.

Next is my JLS order.  I needed 4 spinning reels, so ordered 2 for now and a pile of baits.  This reel wasn't on my radar until I saw JLS's cheap price on these '18 Essence ci4's ($183 at the time). Not regretting my decision...they are silky smooth and light.

I had a few OSP baits already, but wanted to add/try several more.  They are one of the hotter bait companys, and if they most colors in stock...you better jump on them.  So I did ??.

Blitz, blitz MR, and blitz DR.

sGiUJR.jpg

Blitz EX DR and blitz max DR

Tiny blitz DR and DoLive craws 5"/4" and 1 3".

Ready to try their jerkbaits as well (Durga 73mm/Asura 92.5mm/Varuna 110mm).  2 free 110's in there, too.

Grabbed some Deps cranks as well...

Beautiful reels. Are these pretty much the Stradic CI4+?

At 2.5x the retail price...I think they're a bit more than just jazzed up Stradics.

No, these aren't the same US $500+ Exsence you're thinking of. If so the $240 they're listed at on Digitaka (and the $180 he paid) would be a CRAZY steal and I'd buy 10 of them. Lol.

Ya, there's a difference - Magnesium frame on the base Exsence, CI4 frame on those.

Though the 'more expensive' one is only $343 on Digitaka.

Right. The one he got is $233 right now on Digitaka. From everything I could find a while back the 18 Exsence CI4+ is very similar to the old Stradic CI4+.

Some more random colors of roboworms and some hooks and a sleeper gill.

I found a MegaBass Levante locally for 200, so even with BF sales I doubt I find one any cheaper.   I had to finally get a rod for the new Certate.   The combo is almost to pretty to fish with ?

Thanks Eric!   You nailed it, this one is for targeting Spots.

About to spool 8lb Invizx on it.    Bought some Real Magic with the line hoping it makes the Fluorocarbon play nicer with the spinning reel.

Return that for a refund and get KVD instead...that's the only thing I use, and it makes InvizX 8# behave itself on spinning reels.

I'm sure it's similar to the stradic, with a couple more bearings (9+1).  I'm happy that they are smooth, and that I couldn't get the stem to flex at all, so I doubt a bass can.  I'm going to pick up an abu Veritas 6'6" MH mod-fast for jerkbaits to pair the low gear model with.

I second that. Get the KVD line conditioner. It works.

This Invizx is easily the most manageable flouro I've used to date......lays better on the reel than mono seemingly.

I'm a Sniper guy myself but I been wanting to try Invizx just to compare. Maybe I'll spool a few reels this year with it.

I got gifted a spool of Tatsu 15#, put it on my bottom contact rig. That stuff is even better than InvizX for manageability - that's comparing it to 12# InvizX. Yes, KVD on that too - only line in my arsenal that doesn't get KVD is braid.

Haha, I went with the intention to buy Sniper because I've been wanting to try it, but they only had it in 10.

For heavy stuff I really like the P Line Ultimate Fluorocarbon and likely won't go away from that.   But I love trying all these other highly touted brands.     FC Sniper and Invizx are the two I hear the most love for.

Never tried it, but I always read and hear it's the king of fluorocarbon lines.   So expensive in a class of already expensive lines though.

If I didn't already have spools of InvizX in the #-tests I wanted - I'd pick up some Tatsu...you can find it for decent prices occasionally...like what InvizX's retail norm is.
