Stopped into a decent JDM shop earlier today looking for Sleeper Gills, walked out with 2 Sonicside GP Pro Perch and PM Ghost Shiner for cold water and a pack of dropshot baits in Goby Bryant. By far my most productive finesse pattern for ned, wacky and now dropshot.

Local tackle store got a shipment in of the new Sleeper Gills. Couldn't resists grabbing a half dozen of them to test out. Cant wait to see how these do.

lucky!

The bait monkey visited my kids too. Today my son got a Spro Flappin Frog in killer gill and my daughter got some black grape Zoom finesse worms.

ps I’ll be using both ?

Just placed a pretty good order on TW that I’ll get pictures up of on the 22nd!

I was browsing my local tackle store and lucked into this beauty and snatched it up.  Some of us just get lucky I guess.

Little order from @Siebert Outdoors. Never tried their jigs, and got tired of losing $15 jackhammers so I bought the Fogy pack and a handful of other jigs. They look great, quick shipping as well. Can’t wait to get ‘em wet.

That reminds me of the jig and pig wrap that kept your pork frog from drying out.

I use the ones like this from Kastking and fill them with whatever scent I want when I leave a soft plastic on my rod and I switch from one bait to the next while fishing.  It most cases this is totally unnecessary but in my mind it keeps the bait smelly and it won't dry out.

My oldest grandson went fishing with me last week.   He was marveling over my DC reels.  (I bought used from a co worker who tried, but hates baitcasters)   I decided Monday I was going to give him one of them........then, it hit me.  I can't give him one without giving my other Grandson one.  So today I gave away both of my DC reels.   I'll need to replace at least 1 with something.   Pictures when I get something.   I'll be using a 30+ year old Quantum this weekend for my 4th reel.

Got a couple of goodies from japan. Hairy dice and MMZ deka 13 inch worm. They both look fun as heck to fish.

Let me know how those dice are. Look like killers from what I’ve seen!

I thought the Cover Scat looked silly. Then the OSP Dice came along and all of a sudden the Cover Scat doesn't look so funny. But hey, if it works it works. And if the Dice works as well as the Scat, then it's definitely a winner.

Is it at least made of some form of that elaztech material? Because $15 for a 4 pack of those tiny things seems pretty insane.

Alright. I need my browser to block Japanese tackle sites. Been tough to ignore so many top of the line baits at Wal-Mart prices with the current exchange rate.

I'm fairly certain that's a no on elaztech style plastic. I haven't had time to use them yet, but I can report back on durability and effectiveness when I do.

I have a Tatula 200 on the way. I wanted a replacement reel on my frogging/punching setup that had a large line capacity, propensity for long casts, and dependable drag without my usual regard for comfort since I ain’t bottom hopping. The tatula is what I landed on. Excited
