I finally got some more stuff, along with my license for this year.

3 spro lipless crankbaits

1 spro squarebill in a different pattern

2 spinnerbaits

2 dirty jigs California swim jigs

1 spool of 16lb fluorocarbon

1 pack of 1/8oz hair jigs

Should be a good year I hope, I lost a decent bass 2 days ago ? but this early in the season here in Michigan I am definitely happy with my first bass being a good one.

Side note: You can get 2 16 oz cans of torpedo for $3.25 at our gas stations. So good it should be illegal

I used to be able to buy those here too but they've been gone for like 3 years!!! So bummed.

I'm gonna have to start including my air horn in some of my fishing pics now. Maybe like Where's Waldo?

My Dad gave me an old air horn he had in his garage recently. "Here ya go! Feels like there's a blast maybe in there!" Shakes can...

Oookay, I'm buying a new one! Sounded like a good idea after reading a recent "almost got run over in my kayak" thread. Or distress call.

I better test this new one. Hmmm this could be fun.....drive by a local golf course maybe and wait for the right moment? Ya I've seen the videos  ;)

Received 2 new Daiwa Tatula TW 80 reels from Digitaka in Japan. Received reels 3 days from Japan, super fast shipping. :respect-040:

If you could, will you confirm the line capacity on this reel? I’m seeing on tackle warehouse a capacity of 100 yards 14lb I’m assuming monofilament and Daiwas website shows a capacity of 100 yards of 8 lb florocarbon.

Box specifications say:

Fluoro/Nylon: 14lb/95 yards, 16lb/80 yards

PE/Braid: 30lb/95 yards, 40lb/70 yards

12Lb-100m(109.36 yards), 14lb-85m(92.9571 yards)

FWC finally sent me one of the Bass Pro gift cards from the TrophyCatch program. Yadda yadda yadda, 20 minutes later I have a few new baits that should be here Wednesday.

Picked up two Berkley Stunnas (gold and table rock), two Booyah One Knockers in flashy momma (to replace one I broke off earlier this year), a Red-Eyed Shad in blue gizzard shad (also a replacement for one I broke off two days after the Booyah), and trying out that 3" Savage Gear Pulse Tail RTF Bluegill in pumpkinseed. Don't have pumpkinseeds here but it's a dead ringer for a shellcracker IMO. That 3" size should be really good right now as those smaller sunfish are schooling up hard at the moment.

I think you'll catch a bass or two with those nichols SBs. ?

One of the highest quality SBs you can buy.

They are beasts. They have no weak link. You can throw them into whatever and they come out every time. And they're also very durable too.

Sorry, I'll find a room.

We will see how they do for me in the morning after work tonight. They definitely seem well built.

Second part of the order showed up today. Made a couple of casts with the Stunnas in the canal out back just to see, they look great in the water but sink a tiny bit faster than I expected. Not a problem, though. Hardware is solid, but they have the rear treble backwards IMO, I prefer the point facing up instead of down on the rear ones. Split rings feel great, a size smaller than I typically use but pretty stout, only thing I did besides turning the rear treble around was swap the line tie for an oval split ring.

The little 3" Savage Gear bluegill looks fantastic, but I didn't get to cast it much to check out the action. Picture quality is bad, I know (damaged phone), but the colors look fantastic in person. Very much a spot on shellcracker imitation. I can definitely see myself checking out the 4" version as well as the 4" Baitfish RTF if these perform well.

Picked up some more environmentally friendly jigs from Jades Jigs. The underspins look awesome. They have great customer service and worked with me to get all my jigs unpainted to save a few bucks since I lose more than a few jigs.

After promising myself that I wasn't going to buy anymore tackle, the bait monkey reached out a snatched me up this morning! I dropped my wife off at the local hospital where she works for an MRI. She suggested that I run by Walmart to pass the time. They had these new 3.5" HD Tackle (never heard of them) "Ned-Mites". They also come in 5". Anyway, 12 packs later I'm sitting in the parking lot wondering why I'm so weak. Have any of you heard of H D Tackle?

I misspelled "after". How does one do that?

Received my fishing skirts unlimited order.  Those big 100 tab bags were on sale for $8 ..BW was $10.  I love making my own jigs....my 70 strand skirts are the shizz.  I'll post some finished products in the tacklemaking section soon.
