While the tube they used isn't quite as stout as the tunes TW uses, it's solid enough where it would take some real force to break it in half. I did call the retailer I bought it from. I mentioned how USPS has had this issue for a while now. They said they offer UPS, but then you have to pay for the shipping. I went ahead and ordered another rod (last one they had left in stock). They're shipping it via UPS at no charge, so props to them for that. 7 Quote

The conveyor belt ate it. The rod tube needed the large lime green 'DO NOT CONVEY' sticker. I had 2 out of 4 rods I ordered from sierra trading arrive broken with belt rubber on the tubes. Makes me mad ? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 25, 2022 Super User Posted January 25, 2022 I've only ever had one rod arrive broken, and that was sent by UPS. I don't think you can make much basis on one shipper being better or worse. They all seem to have problems, at times. Most often though, my stuff arrives just fine. 3 Quote

Hawkeye21 Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 I took advantage of the Omnia Fishing sale and got some Berkley Stunna jerkbaits and the new Berkley Gilly. Anyone have any experience with the Gilly yet? 3 Quote

They certainly move different than anything I have ever seen though. Quote

Yes... After my experience with TSA last year, I'll be shipping my rods for the next trip. Thinking UPS is the route I will take as they have delivered several TW rod orders with no issue (knock on wood). My only broken tube was via USPS. Pretty sure they tried to run it though a conveyor belt system ??♂️ Quote

I've been quite lucky up until now. All my other rods that were ordered online over the years have come via UPS or FedEx. This is the first time using USPS. So far, they're batting .000. Quote

It still swims vertically, but when you kill it it falls down on it's side, looking like a dying gill. Quote
FishinBuck07 Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 Well I believe I have a disease or something! Went to the local shop after work (why does it have to be so close to work?) and proceeded to spend almost $200 on soft plastics for drop shot fishing. Yamamoto Shad Shaped Worms, Jackall Crosstail Shads, Baby Z too, Half Shells, and a few other soft plastics. Also some small swimbaits to throw when the water opens up and is cold. 2 1 Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted January 28, 2022 Super User Posted January 28, 2022 I went up to the BPS near my house to pick up a couple of the BPS 370 tackle boxes. I'm reorganizing my workbench and those are great for storing hardware in. Since I was already in the middle of the fishing dept. I decided to look around, and ended up buying a green pumpkin and a black/blue Strike King KVD swimjig. 1 Quote
