Oh lol.  KO is brand of lures, so I wasn't sure.  I'll check out some knock offs.  Thanks!

I bought a dozen KO Dark Sleepers for $15 shipped last night. Just have to be patient because it takes afew weeks to get them.

Care to share the brand/where from?

Couple packs of zoom finesse worms, some senkos, trout spinners, and 2 livetarget frogs. Also a 4 pack of Plano boxes because the bait monkey made me run out of room in my tackle boxes

You guys realize there's not a photo on this page.

50 mm (1/4 oz) YoZuri wake baits,

Gorgeous Duo Spearhead 3-4-g minnows,

and some serious Jackall crab bodies, that rigged for either swimming or crawling, look and behave more like a crab than anything offered here.

She Who Must Be Obeyed loves catching panfish. She'd rather catch a bluegill than just about anything else.

And I love when she fishes with me.

A little while ago she was griping about the casting distance on the little 5' rod she'd been using, so I got her a 6'6" Celilo. Ordered two because I had a 1000-size reel that didn't have a home, and this would give her a couple lure options she could grab quick if she needed.

Anyway, here they are. Spooled with 8lb braid to a 4lb leader.

Let's see what she thinks about her casting distance now.

Haven't been able to fish for a few weeks, so the bait monkey talked me into another combo to make me feel better. Always wanted an NRX in the MBR taper and couldn't pass up an NRX+ 903 at 25% off. Spooled her up with 10# sniper and hope to get her out this weekend.

For real though, she said she wanted to cast further, so I showed her how to read the ratings and all that on a rod, and told her what specific rod I'd get if I wanted to cast little 1/32 oz jigheads further for little fish like she likes, and she said "Okay I want one."

Yes ma'am. You ain't gotta twist my arm.

Little combo gift from the skeg monkey and the ramp monkey.

It definitely does work as advertised. Granted, the boat shop did charge me $100 to repair the skeg good as new…

That's great to know. I especially like that it's already got a drain cut, and the welds look nice.

Honestly the metal itself on my skeg looked like a kind of loose cast for what it is, and that struck me as odd, but maybe I'm missing something.

I'm just glad the gearcase is alright. Luckily the motor was already shut off, and my bunks are fairly deep for the hull length, cause it coulda been a whole lot worse.

Mail call. New jig and worm rod. 6’11 heavy, eye crosser. Really looking forward to trying this rod out. I was back and forth on a reel, ended up with another currado. Some new jigs and trailers. The pompadour was to kill the gift card, always wanted to try one. Forgot line though.

Another junk reel and some new line to try out. I know I will just end up going back to braid though.

I replenished some of the stuff I was out of because I actually catch fish with them, got one of those Evergreen Gizmo topwater bugs because I randomly came across it and thought it looked neat, and some topwater flies to try with a casting bubble because it's incredibly frustrating seeing surface-cruising pond bluegills that ignore everything I'm capable of throwing at them with conventional tackle. w23coc.thumb.jpg.865987c24f6f35f71ff5c039ae01a519.jpg

I didn't just get roughed up by the bait monkey this week - his entire dang family roughed my up!

  • C-Tug Kayak cart (because I thought I would save money by buying a less expensive universal cart).
  • Lowrance Hook2 5 Tripleshot unit with US inland maps (this includes sidescan) plus the protective cover
  • Dakota Lithium battery
  • Two track adapters
  • YakAttack CellBlok
  • YakAttack Switchblade Transducer Mount
  • YakAttack Fishfinder mount
  • NOCO Smart charger for the battery
  • St. Croix Mojo Yak Rod
  • Rapala Ike's Custom DT crankbait
  • Four packages of various Senkos
  • Strike King KVD Double Willow Spinnerbait Sexy Shad
  • Two Beetle Spins
  • Four packages of Touch Lok snaps

I was going to add another KVD reel, Curado, or Tatula to the order but I slapped that pack of monkeys down before hitting the Buy Now button.

I blame the kayak that I bought a few months ago. Previously, I was happy just fishing the banks with limited tackle. But that kayak opened up more possibilities - and my wallet. But I'm glad I bought the kayak when I did - the price has gone up $300 in just a few months.

Academy has 20% off rods if you buy a reel for Father’s Day. Want at Tatula and wouldn’t mind another Dobyns rod. Temptation is strong but don’t really NEED either. Besides that, probably ordering some swimming dingers to use with the Zman willow vibe.

I get it. Honestly.

The extra costs and small aggravations that come with the boat we bought a little while back pale in comparison to, if we're not feeling the spot, being able to just motor off somewhere vastly different that I'd never have been able to reach from the bank.
