Drat, your right the monkey is a cunning master.

Your price per bait will go way down, but I promise you won't be saving any money after you keep buying molds, hooks, wire inserts, paint, weedguards, stick on eyes, split rings, swivels, skirt material, lead, you get the idea.

I mean at that point why walk it to the door? Throw that sucker like a javelin, see how far it'll fly and drop kick the other one.

Stepping up my cold weather fishing game.

Just had a DX 744 delivered yesterday. Dobyns Champion Extreme 7’4 Heavy for you non-Dobyn-ers. Paired up with one of my 16’ Metaniums and some 16lb Gamma Edge. Can’t wait to get it out today! Primarily will be my jig and Texas rigged worm rod!

I have about 5 pairs of Smith Sunglasses and like them all for different reasons but this is the pair I have been truly hunting for.  They are high contrast (all the time) and impact resistant lenses but they change intensity with available light.  So in low light everything seems brighter and in bright light they darken up and make everything clear and sharp without getting blinded by the sun.

Those Smith sunglasses look interesting!  What model are they?

They are the Guides Choice with black frames and the Techlite Polarchromic Copper Mirror lenses.

I used them on the water for the first time today and they have been the best I have used so far.  We had clouds, cold rain, wind, and then sunshine.   They handled all of those situations.

What's your impression? I'm waiting on the XXL to come back into stock, at least I hope they will. They have the XXL in the full finger but not 1/2 right now.

Was looking for the bass size of this reel, but figured this would go good on my trout rod and finally allows me to retire my Shakespeare excursion. Thankfully it goes out on a high note catching a brookie on the last cast of the trout season. Probably only means something to me, but I also like to end my vacations with a fish on the last cast, one of my many quirks.

The fireball jigs are my alternative Ned heads. I like the short shank because it allows the baits to work more than other Ned heads.

Used them for the first time today. They're nice and warm, obviously except for your fingertips. Didn't notice them getting wet despite misting and catching quite a few fish. The palms are extremely "grippy", and that took a minute to get use to because the reels were sticking to my palms when I was casting and switching hands. Had a couple fish get headaches trying to release them when their teeth stuck to the gloves when I tried to drop them into the water. Overall, very happy with the purchase so far.

Those are nice looking gloves, but I thought leather would shrink and harden when it gets wet?

It's synthetic leather, not actual leather.

Gotta love it when packages arrive at the house with fun contents. The Mrs likes to remind me that every other week seems like Christmas ?

Got a safety bonus at work, treated myself a little bit.  Excited to have these rigged up for this Saturday.  Went ahead with next day air because I'm getting married in a few weeks and I've gotta get ready for that day instead of fishing.

Thank goodness we're about to head into swimbait season here so I can start fishing these things instead of stocking up and getting evil looks from the wife...

How's the fit on those? They sound really nice but I need sunglasses that are pretty wide to fit my giant head.

Big heads unite.  I can't even wear a large Columbia hat without getting a headache.

Good.  They are a little wide on me but not much.  Also, the temples on the frames flex out but are not too loose and not too snug.

Here is a video of what they are like.  I did as much research as I could before getting my first pair last year.   The guy is goofy though.

Does anyone else find yourself looking for an item like a certain bait you like or rod or reel and no one seems to have the item in stock? Or they have a small quantity and you wait to buy it and it’s gone the next day? Then restock date is somewhere in the future only to get changed as that date gets close ??‍♂️

I guess buying it when I see it might be the answer
