That and it’s been a few years since I’ve bought anything. I have the monkey on my back for sure at the moment.

Nothing fun in this haul. Was running low on hooks and stick baits. Had a couple gift cards so grabbed a few more things.

I plan on fishing into November this  year. Usually I would have stopped buying tackle a month ago.  So it’s either keeping the ball rolling or stocking up for next year .  Oh I just won a 3 piece lot of lucky craft 110 pointers on eBay For 18 bucks  .

In this photo everything thing cane from eBay stores.  3 packs of rage menaces in black/blue flak, summer craw, and kvd magic, 2 kvd square bills in Chrome sxy shad and brown craw, and a white terminator stainless spinner bait to try out.

I got a new rod about two weeks ago and a reel about a week ago. The rod is a Conquest 843c and the reel is a Metanium B. I bought the Metanium for the Conquest, but decided it looked better on the Xtasy, while the Tatula SV looked better on the Conquest. When I did have the Metanium on the Conquest, it weighed 9.9 oz.

Monkey got me good this time with me recently getting back into cranking combined with anticipating the Fall lake turnover.

TW Labor Day 15% sale didn't exactly help things along either...?

I broke my favorite spinning rod (nothing fancy) and am looking to replace it. I wa originally going to replace it with an upgrade to the Daiwa Tatula Elite series of spinning rods. Out of nowhere the bait monkey started whispering "Steez" and now I am looking at a Steez for replacement. I know if this happens all of my rods will be upgraded to Steez before the end of the year. **Down BAITMONKEY! BAD!**

I made my first tackle purchase in quite a while recently. I picked up the newest lure from Golden Belt Customs. This is their new 5.5” swimbait that is designed for throwing on normal bass gear. I got it out the other day for the firs time, and so far I love it. I got this one on it less than 10 minutes into having it on the water.

Was really impressed with the Vanford.  So smooth and casts at least 5 yards further than my other spinning reels.  Drag has no issues at all.  It actually took me a little while to get used to the extra distance.

If you are thinking about one, don't hesitate.  I will be getting another for ned rigs.

Had my eye on this reel for a long time after watching reviews. No local retailer had one or could get one in, so after a year of waiting I just had to pull the trigger and order one online.

Well the bait monkey won. The rod is replacing one that was my dad’s and the last thing he gave me, so it had to be the best... well at least that’s what the bait monkey convinced me of.

I just bought a bunch of Siebert products based on the recommendations from this forum. I’ve had a ton of success with them so far; namely, the Fogy. I’ve been through a 1/4 ounce in Alimony with a gold blade. It’s terrific in the ponds I fish here in Texas. I’ve threw the mini swim jig in Bluegill today and caught three nice LMBs on it. I’ve got an assortment of 10 or so for my initial order and excited to try the rest!
