Mr Jones the bait monkey won’t let that happen. I’ve got a pile of TW receipts to confirm it ?

That's a lie, you'll need more of those Rozantes after you fish that one.

I bought one because of your recommendation a long time ago lol. Looks like THE multi-species finesse jerkbait I’ve been looking for! Thanks Blue

Christmas in July part 3 and hopefully the last for awhile...

Btw, those Shock Blade pros are pretty sweet! Start up is as fast as a Jackhammer.

Unless I have a major malfuntion and need to replace some line, it may not get used this summer. I can tell you that it looks and feels great in hand. Very deep dark green which I like. Diameter is about equivalent to 12lb Trilene 100% fluoro. It's also very smooth without feeling like it's heavily coated with whatever some braids are coated with.  I'll be sure to share my thoughts if I get some time on the water with it.

It's 50# braid - there would have to be A LOT wrong with it for it not to work.  Braid is way over-engineered. I haven't really found any in the 12# equiv. diameter I have truly not been able to use.

Picked up some “old reliables” some of which are actually new to me. I’m excited to try the phenoms but wondering how you guys rig them. I have a lot more confidence in a shaky head than i do a Texas rig so I think I’ll go that route.

I've done very well rejecting the Bait Monkey since my last post.  No new rods.  A new Coastal SV and Icon PT (thanks to PhishLI) and an OG Steez 103H.  A couple spare spools...Steez 103 Type R+ and T3 1016.  Three rod sleeves, a few more reel covers and a few Yo-Zuri 3DB hardbaits.

Thank God I am growing some cajones and fighting back.  :teeth:

Good to hear, I knew I should have gotten more of the Shock Blade Pros as soon as I opened the one I ordered. If only I'd listened to the bait monkey.

6poundbass has his 10th birthday on the 2nd. He received a couple Basspro gift cards. This was his haul minus a couple back ordered items. The Googans aren’t a fan favorite I know, but he’s learned quite a bit from them.

Well, my conscious was eating at me and being a person that likes to keep a happy bait monkey I took ur advice Jedi and ordered 6 more AC Shiners in a size I've never had and for the spice of life I ordered 4 different colors, one being a color I've never had a Shiner in (black head-blue body). These are the model 200 which is a 2" 1/8 oz football shaped balsa floating minner that should be the cats azz for creek smally and Redeye. Thanks for correcting my error @JediAmoeba

Do you find those lures more effective than an original floater Rapala?

Do they sink or float?  I destroy walleye and smallmouth in creeks with a #5 Countdown.  I don't do nearly as well with a floater.

He got me today too!

Had to reload on some Keitech jigheads and swimbaits, but of course he had to whisper in my ear that I had to get some extras for reserves in case they sold out later when I ran out.

No I think either maker will do the job.

All my shiners are floaters. I retrieve them year around as a jerkbait with erratic snaps of the rod with hardly a pause and they have provided many creek battles even 40"+ musky at times on 6# line, the devils...
