I change out stock hooks (and most split rings) on most every bait I throw. Rapala baits in particular.  Most are not as sharp & definitely not as stout at what I replace them with. I want that. I’d throw right behind my father in law who was throwing a wacky rig or his Zoom sand colored lizard. I’d say more than half the time, I’d get the fish that kept playing with his emotions lol We call this technique poaching and feelings always get triggered lmao 2 Quote
bigjean663 Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Told myself I’d only get a couple. Turned into these 4 and another 2.4 inch one that I didn’t have in my car with me. 6 Quote

I'm a little uncertain as to exactly which one I have here. It was sold to me as a 9", but the package is marked as "Large" and it certainly looks from my picture like it could easily be 5" bigger than the 7" purple nitro I put next to it. Next to the tape, it's well short of 12" though.  As a general guideline: • "Small" is 7" long and weighs 1.75oz • "Medium" is 9" long and weighs 3oz • "Large" is 12" long and weighs 4.5oz.   Quote

I haven't had a 9" Slammer for awhile, but when I did it didn't seem like it was nearly as large around as this one is. I need to find my kitchen scale so I can weigh it and see where it falls in that department. I know that Mike does some special request, not sure if this bait might be one of them. Quote

Yours seems like an inbetweener. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 19, 2019 Global Moderator Posted July 19, 2019 If you like big, fat straight tail worms but don't like the price that everyone ask for them, YUM is here to help! I love their color selection, and $3 for a 7 pack of 8" fat straight tail worms, can't beat that! Really excited that they're offering other baits in 30 packs now. Got 2 30 packs of Christie Craws in my TW order today, only $10 a pack too! I'll have to take pictures of the rest of the order, mostly plastics. My orders aren't usually real exciting with my disdain for crankbaits and everything ?  5 Quote
boostr Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 My recent booty... Took advantage of TW sale on some Senkos, and threw in the Winn Grip accessories. Got a discount on the 3 KK Royale Legend rods, and KK Speed Demon reel from the Amazon Prime Day Sale, and threw in the Rod Gloves and KK Lip Grips. Purchased e few packs of VMC 1 weedless Neko Rig hooks, nail weights and Tungsten drop shot weight from Dicks. Â Â 3 Quote

ohboyitsrobby Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 New Lew's bb1 I picked up for $120 at a local shop and a new to me Shimano clarus 7'6" crankbait rod I got for $50. Caught me off guard when. The guy offered the reel for that. They're not exactly known for discounts just having most of what you need. 4 Quote
Brett's_daddy Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 I just picked up these 7 Lucky Craft Staysee 90sp's off eBay for $37 shipped. Yes, they were previously used but only one (the top Nishiki) shows any sign of use with a little hook rash, the others look new. This lot had 3 of the 4Â color schemes I was looking for...yeah, there's a couple doubles but still...these are $15.99 each brand new so I still think I got a pretty good deal to help round out my Fall jerkbait arsenal :). 7 Quote
