Not a lot of hope for catching as bass on these, but I would love to see one try.

A local fishing legend passed away in 2018, his estate sale was a few weeks ago.  The amount of gear he collected over the years was truly unbelievable.   His primary target was large muskie and he was very skilled at catching them.

Holy smokes!  I'd love to see the mold for those Godzilla plastics!

I'm waiting for the reply from someone saying they've seen bigger.  ?

Local Wal-Mart had my confidence baits at $1 a bag!

I ordered both my Aird-X rods through Amazon - but was careful to pick ones that were fulfilled by someone else. Both came in tubes with the tips and handles wrapped in foam. The second one was even $5 off the retail price.

I ordered my Aird-x from amazon, full filled by Amazon but the rods had Academy tags on them. Came in a regular box, foam around the top guide. One of the boxes was bend, and the lower guide was flattened. Had to do the whole exchange process. Not worth it buying rods on Amazon tbh.

That's the problem right there...mine were fulfilled NOT by Amazon, but by the vendor.

where's the drool reaction? Is that a Xtasy paired with Tatula SV?

The Spring Fishing Show (in Ontario) came and went this past weekend. Didn't get my bonus from work yet, so I was window shopping but grabbed a bag of Z-man Hula Sticks, Keitech Custom Leeches, a couple of Tokyo rigs, and a couple of bags of SK Rage Menaces. I was on SO.com looking for some jigs, under-spins and swimbait heads. I didn't find any under-spins outside of the Owner Flashy, so I asked Mike if he's ever going to produce an under-spin jig and he's got something in the works. I'm pumped.

Went to Meijer for stuff not even remotely related to fishing and found a fishing clearance aisle cap at the back of the automotive section.  WTH?  Rapala jerks, KVD jerks, and Sizmic Shad all for less than $3 each (I bought all of them).  They had a full peg of smoke/purple Senkos for $3.59 so I bought one to give them a try.  Not too sure about that color around here.

I bought a pack of Sizmic Shads to give them a try this spring. Not sure how the action is or if the tail gives a good vibration at moderate speed.

This guy will be here Friday.  Abu 3500C, great for throwing light baits.  I also have a set of Carbontex drag washers and new spool bearings coming for it.  It's going on a 7'6" light power moderate action for chasing brook trout and river smallies.

I went to my local Meijer and they had their fishing clearance on an end cap too but it was facing the fishing section. Unfortunately nothing I was interested in. Mostly pan fish and walleye stuff.

I really wish we had an Academy sports, the deals I've seen are ridiculous!

I hit the Amazon lottery last time I bought a rod from them.  I ordered a 9'6" Okuma SST steelhead rod and they sent me a box with five of them.  I got on the phone and they said to keep them, so I gave three to friends and kept two.

You know its a exciting day when the package you receive has japanese news print in it for padding.

I'm sure i'll throw this eventually, but until then it will look just as good on a shelf!

I love big crawlers and that's one of the best ones out there, no way it would be sitting on a shelf if it was mine. Congrats on the purchase!

It's a huge crawler like a Heddon Crazy Crawler.

This is an Imakatsu Berlinetta Crawler 2.  A similar lure, the Aventa Crawler, is available at TW in the US.  I don't know of anywhere selling the Berlinetta in the US *edit* looks like Carolina Fishing Tackle carries it!

Its impressively light for such a large lure.  Feels very "hollow", and definitely feels like it wouldn't bounce off a rock well!  And considering its light weight for its size, I'm skeptical of how well it will cast.  I remember seeing the NZ Crawler in the TW youtube videos and I think this is a decent bit smaller.  Halfway between a NZ and a Pompadour.

One more set of unique baits worth sharing.  These are all late Christmas items that took a while to get here.

Imakatsu Jaka Jack - Looks like a cool flatsided SB

Imakatsu Battle Bat(s) - these have a pretty unique profile.  Very wide and flat from above, but very "shad" like from the side.  Also have a smaller "blade" on the rear hook hanger that should give some unique action.

Evergreen CombatCrank Mini SR - Tiny, 3/16oz, but surprisingly has a weight transfer system!

Imakatsu IS-100 - Nothing too unique here.  Just a shad-rap type bait.

Vision 110 - Sakura Coach color which I hadn't seen before.  Hoping its a smallie killer

Megabass X80+1 - Hadn't seen these before either.  Always nice to have a jerkbait that gets a bit deeper.

Megabass SM-X Spriggan - didn't have a red colored mid-diving crank.  This fills a void

Hopefully this satisfies the monkey for a long while!

Two out of three dark sleepers from Tackle Direct. The white one is backordered. The 2 bootlegs from China have been traveling around the world for weeks. It’ll be months before I get a line into water ???

I'm sure they'll crush the Berlinetta just like the do the Aventa.

Nice!  They look great.

The only reason I don't get these exotic and usually expensive lures is because of the toothy critters.

:happy-102:Happy days are here again. My favorite spring sale is on. Wacky Worm in Gilbert, PA is holding its annual spring sale. Didn't buy much but got a good deal from a Mom & Pop shop.

If you are in the Tri-state area stop in and pick up some good deals.
