The rest of the haul;

sJUmp6hl.jpg?1

I use beefy paddle tails a lot in place of toads to cover water in pad fields.  I was using Skinny Dippers but they don't stay weedless for long.  I love the Gambler Big EZ so I though I would try the smaller ones.  The Sniper is part of my quest to find a heavier floro for jigs.  The Armilo is for swimbaits.

Next season I am going to devote myself to the senko until I get more comfortable with them.  I use them and they work, but it's always a fallback presentation.  The Fat Aces are for shallow pads, like the Slug-gos.

Reloading on some trailers and giving the Netbait trickworms a try.  I use the OG ones all the time and the Netbaits seem to be the most beloved copy.  The gloves are another try to see if I can improve comfort a little.  They have a wrist pocket for handwarmers and seem like they will be great.

After much fretting I finally picked up a proper swimbait rod.  I fell like I went too light, it does not feel much more powerful then the one I already have.  I spent about 2 hours with that big Millionaire on it and then switched it out to a much smaller Ringa SSS.  I want to use it for 68 Specials and big rats, so we shall see.

Guessing this will be my favorite combo next year. The St Croix premier moderate action bought on a Black Friday as a birthday gift for me and a Revo SX I bought on Black Friday with cash from an article I wrote:)

*I had my parole hearing yesterday at Restful Meadows Rehabilitation Center - GA.  where I have spent the last 3 months under going therapy for : "Bait Monkey Issues"  . The question & answer process was going well and towards the end - I actually thought I was going to get out ... Then one of the board members displayed a recently found  : "Spend $50 and get a free TW Fish Sticker Decal" tucked under my mattress ...  When questioned about it I mumbled : "I don't know , the TW fish decal  might have been mine relating to a purchase - I can't recall as past purchases can seem to run together - it all gets kinda fuzzy as you can all understand ... You do understand - right " ?  ... Parole denied !! - Next patient come in and please be seated ... (to be continued) .

So after much research on this site I ended up picking up a St Croix premier MH moderate action rod from TWs BF sale. Not a big splash, but for my budget and needs spending 100 to 200 more there wasn’t enough benefit to pull the trigger. To be honest it was also difficult to find higher end rods in the moderate action I prefer as well.

The big big surprise after reading horror stories of rods being broken during shipment, was how TW packaged the rod. The rod was in the original rap with bubble wrap on the tip and the tube weighed a ton and is probably darn near bulletproof;) Comparing this to how my rod from cabelas was shipped I would for sure order a rod from TW again and they included it in the free shipping.

I've ordered a few rods from Tackle Warehouse now and I could have told you they do a great job packaging them :)

Finally got all of my Black Friday items ! Only thing I need is a 1/8 oz tube jig and I’m set for smallie season! The 3/8 are a little too big but lesson learned. Just use it for deep water.

It's only been a month since I took my last paddle/cast in the canoe and I'm itching for some new tackle.

Parents always give me some money for Christmas, easier than picking gifts. Have to wait until then to scratch that itch.

I've got it in the 100mm size for smallies. I love the paint quality on these.

I use the 97MR Slender Pointer a lot for smallies, it's a killer smallmouth bait.

It's a lot smaller than some baits I use. The big largemouth at the power plant lake eat big gizzard shad, lots in the 6-10 inch range, so big baits are what they prefer.

Found this for 25% off. Since it's a 3 bank it looks like I'm going to have to upgrade to a 36v trolling motor now...

I have that charger. It’s the best purchase I’ve made so far for the boat.

I have to admit the rat was a impulse.

I love that Spro Rat. I've got a 30 and a 40. The action and sound on it is just great. One of these days I'll actually catch something on it.
